A little gem!
We stayed here from 15/03/24 - 19/03/24 in order to visit friends and family close by. The access is down a small country lane, but only a couple of hundred yards off the main road. We have a large 8’ wide caravan twin axle which we easily negotiated the entrance to the site. All information about our pitch was clearly stated on a board at the reception and we found it all well marked out and accessed by a lovely gravelled road. The pitches are all hard standing with electric hook up. There were leads in place to account for guests not having long enough leads to reach the electric posts which was so thoughtful. The hard standing was soft enough to peg an awning in with minimal effort, but remained intact whilst we encountered a strong windy evening! The views from the pitches are all looking at the large pond and bridge which is beautiful. I’ve never had such a lovely vista from the caravan before, and we have been caravanning a long time! The grounds are beautiful with copious lawns and flowers, and there are ducks, geese, and rabbits running around adding to the beauty. At night, the antique lamp posts light the surroundings making it easy to reach your van. All cars are left in the car park after unloading making for a vehicle free area. There are two toilets on site, one gents and one ladies. The ladies is beautifully decorated with a pretty wicker chair to compliment. There is also a separate unisex shower and toilet room with a very large walk in shower. It is a short walk from the CL site to access these, so if you don’t use your own facilities just be aware. The reception has lots of information and owners Emma and Darren are available for any help. You can hear the traffic from the A63, but it’s not a deal breaker! This is a gem of a CL with such pretty surroundings and we hope to return very soon.
