Excellent CL

First time at Willow Beck Retreat and not disappointed what a lovely site. We stayed for four nights. The site has a very nice toilet and shower block that is lovely and clean. The site is well positioned for exploring the local area. The village is within easy working distance with a local shop with everything you need and the Royal oak pub is very welcoming. Will definitely be going back soon

Excellent Site, I’ll Be Back

I have stayed on this site a few times now, and it is a great site for relaxing. Upon arrival you help yourself to any free pitch, plug into the electric and start relaxing for your stay. Personally I prefer this no hassle diy check in that allows you to enjoy the clean and well maintained site from the off, but contact details are posted around the site should you need any help during your stay. There is plenty of space, with a large grass play area that includes a couple of small swings, a slide and a swingball set. The pitches all have £1 and £2 coin operated electric hook up, water point and waste with also a number of picnic tables for use. The chemical waste point is located beside the bin area The site offers a toilet room, and an additional room that contains both a toilet and free shower, which have always been clean and maintained to a good standard. We met Abraham when he came to check on the toilets and maintain the grounds, he was friendly and helpful, without being intrusive of your stay Yes there is a little vehicle noise as it is located beside the road but it in no way disturbs what is otherwise a peaceful spot to enjoy and is very quiet overnight for sleeping There is a pavement beside the road that allows you to walk all the way into the village without needing to walk in the road, it takes 5-10 minutes and the village has a well stocked shop and a friendly quiet pub called the Royal Oak, a further 20 minutes walk can take you to The Plough pub in South Leverton but note that this is a cash only pub I highly recommend this site and will certainly be back again in the near future.

Highly recommend

Super site, exactly fitting my needs for a relaxing mid-week stop over. Tidy and well maintained, with plenty of space (large garden area with picnic tables etc.) and a modern toilet/shower block. I didn’t get to fully appreciate the surrounding area, as I arrived with a migraine and needed to lay low for a couple of days. This was most definitely a safe spot to do just that. I met Abie the owner, and it’s clear he has invested a lot of time, effort and thought into making this a great spot to stay. My only slight (very minor) comment is there is a bit of noise from the road, but that’s probably because I was nursing my migraine and so noticed it more. All in all, I highly recommend this site and will certainly use again it if I am passing this way again in the future.

Well kept spacious site in great location

Stayed here in April, lovely well kept site with plenty of space. Fully serviced level pitches plus free shower and toilets. Electric is metered but not an issue. There is reasonably busy road going past bottom of the site but not intrusive. Easy access to local area and good on site facilities. Would come again

Little Gem

I don't really want to give a good review of this site as it could restrict my chances of getting on again. Stumbled across this little site by accident. It's actually only 40mins from home. Phoned & booked with 2days notice & was lucky to get on. All hard standings & well manicured site, with a free shower & a couple of WC's. Electric metered, but not expensive, only spent £7 for 2 nights..Good value, close to village & working windmill, a little road noise but it wasn't intrusive. I can recommend the Royal Oak in North Leverton (10mins walk) a lovely welcome & good beer & reasonably price grub...Had the fortune to meet the site owner too, who was very pleasant & informative. we have already booked for later in the year..

Stunning CL Site

For us, it is extremely good CL Site and perfect for our needs. Stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, toilet and shower block included, also included on site all pitches are fully service. Very clean and very well maintained site, electric is on a coin meter which is not an issue to us. Jeff is a star, very helpful, short walk to the pub, perfect place to relax and unwind. We feel very welcome. A home away from home. We difinetely returning. Highly recommended CL Site! Love, Richard & Maria

Lovely weekend retreat

Just got back from this lovely well thought of site. The owners have obviously put a lot of effort into this retreat . It has a coin operated EHU which we used £4 every 24 hrs. A tip would be to check it before you go to bed as we didn’t on the first night and ran out of electricity. Totally our fault being numptys. Large pitches with water and waste point . The site has two toilets and a shower( didn’t use shower) only thing I could see it doesn’t have is a motor home waste point to empty grey waste but we have a caravan. Nice to visit the windmill which is open on Saturdays and some lovely local walks . Would recommend

One of the best CL’s that we’ve used in over 40 years of caravanning

Just come back from a fortnight break at this superb cl and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The owner is very friendly and has clearly put a lot of money and effort into Willow Beck, the layout is neat and tidy and kept in pristine condition, with plenty of space on each pitch; the bonus is that the pitches are serviced but it is worthwhile taking extension piping to reach the tap and drain. Yes, there is a little road noise, mainly at rush hour times but not enough to bother us. A big bonus is the shower and two toilets, both free and spotlessly clean. Electricity is by coin meter and we used an average of £3 a night, which for the first fortnight of April with heating and hot water twice a day we thought was good. Would definitely recommend the Royal Oak in the village, within walking distance and dog friendly, we had dinner there in the week and Sunday roast twice, couldn’t believe how cheap it was. Definitely a CL that is worth another visit!!

Peaceful site with beautiful views

Easy to find well maintained site. Lots to say about this little CL. Security is good with cameras at the gate and lighting, toilets and shower looked immaculate, but we were away in our motorhome for the first time so wanted to use our own facilities. bird boxes and little bug hotels dotted around shows a love of nature including a bird feeding station, will be great to go back in the spring. Love the fact the ugly electric boxes had even been painted brown to blend in. Electric is on a meter taking £1 and £2 coins. we had heating and hot water, lights and TV on for a night and we spent just under £5 which I don't think is bad. Fairly new site only going to improve with time as new bushes and trees have been planted, giving privacy. Only a 10 min walk into the village with a quaint little shop with everything you could need, and a pub right next door to it serving lovely food. On our list of favourite sites now. What a find :)
