Surprisingly very peaceful

This was a very nice and surprisingly peaceful site to stay on. Bearing in mind that this site is located between two American air force bases, there was very little noise from any planes. Yes, you did hear the odd one take off, but that was in the distance and only for a couple of minutes. The rest of the time is spent trying to identify the bird song. The site was very firm and stable, considering how much rain the country has had lately, and there was no problem driving across the grass with car and caravan. Just behind the pitches is a dog training area. One day, trainers were putting dogs through their paces, but we only noticed when we went to leave the site for some sight seeing. All very quiet. It was nice to have a fully service pitch. I like the benefit of having my own water supply, and nowadays, this is one of the first things I look for when choosing a site. David called for his money after we had been on site for two days and was a very nice chap to chat too. He has had the site for many years. Some interesting places to visit nearby such as the Dads army museum in Thetford and shopping and eating in Bury St Edmunds. One tip. The driveway leading to the site has a couple of very large pot holes so drive very slowly. No problem, but be aware. Access is large and open so no problem for those of you who have large vans.
