There are three areas and I believe the bottom field is the non CL although we could choose wherever. We chose the top field where four could be sited and gave us a fantastic view of the moors. The pitches are grass and on a slope but easily levelled, with Martins help in positioning for the best view and maximum sun. Two shower/toilet blocks available, basic but spotless, but bear in mind the showers are tokened at £1 a time. Peaceful surroundings with walking direct from the site, and in the nearby village of Lealholm good food at the pub and the two tearooms, also a 'chippy' van weekly in the car park. We also caught the train from the village station into Whitby rather than drive, the times giving us 5 hours before our return journey. Very good CL, worth a visit.
