We were welcomed when we arrived, but because my dog barked at the man (who came up to the car from nowhere) it was suggested we went to the very bottom of the site, which if we had wanted to use the showers etc we would of had a long walk. But as we have it all in the van we did not mind. the site is in three different area's 2 small area's near the facilities and a bigger one which is long and sloping. The wildlife was great to watch we had Squirrels and birds enough to keep us amused whilst on site. There are walks from the site but be warned the area is hilly. There is a nice pub in Lealholm the nearest village which also sports a shop, bakery and garage. there is also a Tearoom and a fish & chip van comes on a Tuesday and Friday ... in in all I would use this site again.
