We stayed here in August on perhaps the coldest week in the whole summer of 2014 but despite this we had a great time. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and the scenery was fabulous. There are lots of great places to visit and some breathtaking walks. As we are farmers we loved the fact this is a working farm and the village of Lealholm is also very picturesque. We especially liked the food and atmosphere of the Board Inn and we sampled the delights of the Wild Slack Farm sausages. The facilities on site were excellent and we loved the quaint little toilet and shower at the very top end of the site. All in all, a great stay and one which we would be very happy to repeat. The only downside was that our journey from Pembroke took over 11 hours due to the bank holiday traffic!!
