Arrived and welcomed straight away.  Local information provided.  Hubby and I are keen cyclists and went on a lovely 50 mile ride including some tough climbs.  It is very near the off road cycle network - which is suitable to ride on all bike types including road bikes too.   Our second day we had a lovely hike to Hartington and then a longer hike back following the beautiful Wolfscote Dale and Biggin Dale routes. The very minor only downside to the site is that the pitches were quite unlevel and I was not told when booking to bring extra leveling blocks which would have been very useful.  As we only had a couple of wedges and the van was not fully level though out our stay - but it did not cause us major problems. Would go back again without hesitation.  (With extra leveling blocks though).
