Superb owner

We have just come back from a 2 night stay at this site and despite its closeness to Holt and roads it is a haven of calm. Sue the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area There are an abundance of EHU's spread around the site and you can choose where you pitch and can do so in any direction. All pitches are grass but it is a well drained site, we had no difficulty after all the rain maneuvering our van conversion around. If you had a heavy Motorhome then Sue recommends parking on the left hand side and to be honest that side had the best views. Levelling ramps may be needed. There is clean basic toilet cassette disposal facility & freshwater plus recycling bins but that is all that is needed. It is literally a 5 Min walk into Holt with its myriad of independent shops and we found a lovely dog friendly cafe called the Wandering Whelk. There are a few good dog walks from the site down the disused railway line, our only disappointment was there were no round walks that brought you back through Holt to the site. Speaking to a local they said the Landowners had shut the permissive paths a few years ago sadly that would have made a few good circular routes. We were just sad that we did not have the time to stay longer and explore more. On my list to return to at some point.

Great CL

We booked 5 nights at the lovely CL, for our Motorhome April 2022, after pitching we searched around for the facilities, plenty of areas to pitch up & nice to be able to pitch any where & any way you like, plenty of hook ups but you may need a longer lead, the only thing we noted was the fields for dog walking were fenced off with electric fences, it was nice to able to walk into Holt which is a lovely town to walk around, plenty of eateries & pubs, also a nice walk into Holt country park with the dog, nice little café there, recommend their Scones, another nice walk was on the old railway down to Letheringsett flint round tower Church, we spoke to Mrs Dixon by text & met on our last day, very pleasant & chatty, we will use this CL again when in the area . thanks for our stay.

A lovely site very near Holt

We stayed at this lovely CL site for 5 days. Sue is genuinely friendly and very helpful. Good size field with lots of hooks dotted around and you can pitch any angle and position you like. 16 amp EHU, waste point is easy, grey waste water can be emptied in the plants and trees around the site. 2 further fields are part of the site which can be used for dog walking, also some lovely dog walks directly off the site. Holt is a lovely little town, we really liked Black Apollo for superb coffee and nice cakes, Holt high street is only 5 mins walk so we had takeout coffee and cake every morning :-) we will be back

Awesome - what a CL should be!

An excellent, spacious and lovely CL. Spent 8 nights here - the time just flew by with so much to do and see. A very easy walk into Holt centre. Will certainly be back!

Everything a CL should be.

Stayed here for a week.  Lovely well kept site. Perfect for the north Norfolk coast.  So easy to walk into Holt for all the delightful shops.  Lovely site owner who makes you feel very welcome.  Enjoyed the tasty new laid eggs and meat products.  Will be back next year.

WOW !!!

WOW just spent 5 nights on the beautiful CL....what a find only wish we had booked all our holiday here instead of the broads. Owner very helpful and gives a really warm welcome to all her guests, grass is like a bowling green with hanging flower planters down the middle of the field....and yes we did water them as promised. All you need from a site with Holt a 5mins walk for any supplies you need. Thank you and  we hope to return when next in the area.

A Real Gem

Just what a CL should be. Peaceful, well laid out and well kept. Close enough to walk into Holt easily and only a few miles from the coast. The owner is extremely welcoming but then leaves you in peace to enjoy your stay. Plenty of walks for the dogs, especially the country park also in walking distance from the site. We will certainly be returning.

What a Lovely Surprise!

I booked this site and was a little worried as to how close it was to the roundabout and road noise. Well I needn't have been, yes there is a little road noise but nothing to worry about at all, you can hardly hear it. The site is very spacious with plenty of hook ups to choose from and has views over fields. The site is beautifully looked after by Sue who came round to make sure we had settled in and gave me some lovely places to walk our dog all from the site.  Holt is a 10 minute walk and is lovely to wander around the shops and tea rooms and for those who love steam railways it's a mile down the road to the station.  Sherringham is not far away and you can walk from Sherringham Park to the coastal path.  A lovely relaxed site to explore this area.

Handy for Holt

A basic site with electric hook ups. The field slopes slighty but is flat at the top. There is some road noise but we did not find this intrusive. The water & waste points are in one corner of the field. The owners do not live on site but there are clear instructions on notice's pinned around the fence and the friendly owner does call to introduce herself if possible. The site is very handy for the lovely Georgian town of Holt which is a five minute walk, with lots of interesting independant shops, great pubs and cafes. It is also close to the beautiful North Norfolk coast, and there are regular bus services. There is lots to do and see in the area. A good basic site at a good price.
