Beautiful, Peaceful and Quiet Site

A wonderful stay at Westcroft stables with our dog. There were plenty of walks and a burger van nearby which sold Dog Ice Cream. There is also a farm shop within walking distance. Sabine, the site owner was so nice and helpful we would stay there in the future.

Good Site

Despite being close to a busy road the peace of the site is not disturbed by this Bus stop 200 mtrs to Havant for Coastliner links to Portsmouth and Chicheste, or to Hayling Island Beach Coastal Path ( foot/bicycle) a few hundred metres by path round the horse paddocks. There are 5 hardstanding pitches in addition to the grass paddock if it is wet (and there was a lot of rain when we were there in April The owner is pleasant and helpful Robin

Pleasant site. Handy for visits

Only a short 7 night stay. Trips to historic Portsmouth and Brighton were good days out and the coastal walk looks good too. Followed advice of driving to Lidl roundabout as tight access otherwise. Nothing negative but couldn't find a light in the chemical disposal room. Looking forward to return for future exploration of the area.

sept 22 weekend stay

just spent our first weekend at this site - great location with easy access from A27 - spacious site with good and reliable water and power supplies and Sabine relaxed and flexible about where we pitched. Sabine (understandably) clear in explaining horses not to be fed and alerted us to the electric fencing surrounding the horse areas (we had an inquisitive dog with us). Our dog is desperate to get to rabbits visible through the van windows and when walking - she is keen enough to get to squirrells at home but rabbits even more so! Others have mentioned the tight right turn into the site access lane which we managed but needs care as does the left turn out of the site onto the public road but all doable. Adjacent billy trail walk alongside the harbour is very pleasant and view from trail of sunset over Portsmouth striking. We experienced no disturbance from horses other than occasional "neighs". Loo basic but clean and adequate. Worth noting that Sabine happy for you to choose your own spot in the site provided you keep 8m distance from other units and no need to check in with Sabine on arrival - just pick your spot and set up. We enjoyed our visit - thankyou.

Perfect!

Super friendly welcome from Sabine who made our stay absolutely perfect. Fab site in a great location - we can’t wait to return, nor can our two German shepherds! As others have said don’t try turning right in to the site, go down to the Lidl roundabout and double back makes is so much easier.

Wonderful!

We have just returned from a two week stay at this wonderful site - thank you Sabine the site is a credit to you. Firstly I would say, I did read the reviews before we booked and I thank the person that advised to initially drive past the site to the roundabout and come back to turn left into the site. The site is very peaceful considering its proximity to the main road which is very busy and whichever pub you walk to you will have to cross it - you just need patience and a gap in the traffic will arrive. From the site you have access to the Hayling Billy Trail which is a lovely walk to the south of the island and north to the overpriced but very nicely located Ship Inn. The bus stop to Havant, Portsmouth, Chichester and along the south coast is directly outside the site and the bus service is excellent - in Havant and Chichester it drops you right by Wetherspoons. An excellent CL and we will definitely be back.

5 day stay 2023

Lovely Site, Arrived with short notice as our chosen site was waterlogged, Sabrine was very helpful and welcoming, site is level and has a coastal path adjoining, close to all amenities (farm shop, pubs etc) approx 1 hours walk to seafront by the road or coastal path. Only slight issue is on turning in to the entrance from the main road the curb is not dropped to the right hand side, might not concern CamperVans but had to take it slow with my Caravan Site has Hardstandings, Grass Pitches with EHU’s Water points, Toilet, Elsan and Bins plus as a bonus free Horse manure for you keen gardener’s 😊

Fabulous site!

We stayed in September and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, the horses and the rabbits. Sabine is very welcoming and works hard to keep the site tidy and clean. We're looking forward to returning very soon!

Our favourite place

This is our favourite place to stay, lovely owner Sabine, a very hard working lady. Always around working with all the Horses and very knowledgeable about local area and places to go etc. Its great watching the Horses being ridden & trained in the area by the cl, lots of rabbits running around ..just so nice to see nature close up. Great walks about 100 yards from the site, just walk threw site and theres Langstone Harbour and the Billy trail. Farm shop a short 10 min walk from site, even a Greggs just a 10 min walk as well, There is a great chip shop called Whistlers fine fish & chips who do a delivery.. just phone or go online.. choose your goodies and day/time for delivery and just sit back and wait. Looking forward to going back soon...thank you for all Sabine.

Lovely owner great site

I Read what the idiot wrote re the rabbits gate etc ( it’s nature live with it ) when in the country and you open gates always close gates throught everyone was aware of that we loved watching rabbits and also the horses such characters all of them Sabine the owner was very helpful And a lovely lady and hard worker we spent a week with my caravan with my sister in there caravan we all loved our choice of site all facilities are kept very clean and tidy at all times Portsmouth isn’t far away famous for the victory and shopping at gun wharf quays with great shopping and places to eat historical Winchester not that far away the walks from the rear of this CL site to the harbour are very good and safe no busy roads only wait for it (rabbits lol 😂 ) and squirrels etc around and birds singing that’s why we love nature we did as a previous review wrote on arriving we went past the C L to the lidl roundabout about half a mile away because the CL is on the bend with a high kerb and at times a busy rd much easier And safer to swing in to entrance to the C L from the roundabout we will look forward to our next visit
