Excellent site

Stayed for three nights last week and found this to be an excellent site. Quiet, clean and well maintained. Plenty of dog walking options locally and the market town of Louth just up the road. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet rural location and we hope to return in the near future.

Rate this site 5+++

What a fantastic site we found only 45 minutes away from home. This site delivers everything, it is flat, pitches are spacious, clean and tidy site with the added bonus of two toilets and shower block. Oh and not to forget the mischievous hens that entertain. The owners Judith and Richard are so pleasant and concerned that everything is right on the site. Louth is a great location too, a lovely little town with a good old fashioned market, lots of independent shops and lots of character. The coast Mablethorpe, Skegness, Sutton on Sea etc are all within easy distance.We'll be back soon. Our friends who are not caravanners will joint us next time and stay for bed and breakfast. Thank you Judith and Richard.

Excellent rural CL

Lovely CL, very well kept, level field with short grass, clean toilet facilities and easy access from quiet lane. Adjoining field has a clean mown path through it for use of guests (not just dogs). Stayed here for a week with our 4 year old grand daughter and she loved it, especially the hens. One morning she collected an egg which the owner said she could have for her breakfast. Our son and daughter in law joined us for 2 nights and stayed in the B&B which was excellent - very clean and modern with first class breakfast.

Immaculate must make a return visit

Managed to drop in for one night at the above, the welcome was second to none from Richard and immediately felt at ease and the tranquillity and location was just great. Easy access to the site and the grass stood the motorhome with ease with the electric point a matter of a few metres away. Facilities were suitable and very clean and well presented, the adjoin B & B looked the part and clearly a lot of time and effort has gone into making this site look the part and it does. The dog walk is an adjoining field with a purpose cut track for our use that was a real nice touch. Alternatively a short walk out of the site takes you along the local lane to the church showing off some nice properties. Ideal location for the theatre at Louth or if better suited the market but either way only a short distance away, we missed a trick not staying longer and will look to return when next in this area. Peace and quiet second to none, Picturesque in every way great central location to explore the Wolds and great hosts, got to get full marks.

Lovely site .... May 2013

We stayed here for three nights. A lovely site, short cut lawned area, quite even. A blackboard told us to choose our pitch, all were empty when we arrived, with a map showing directions to pitch numbers, toilets, showers, etc. Overlooking a meadow, every night while we was there a Barn Owl flew over about 5pm to 8pm, collecting food for its young, large ghostly and white, really enjoyed waiting for him to arrive. Five friendly hens on site nibbling my nail varnish on my toes!! while sitting in the sun. Facilities lovely and clean, a toilet and toilet/ shower. Book exchange. Louth a good place to visit, Wednesday market day. Lovely friendly owners. We will be back later in the year Very relaxing, quiet and rural

Gem of a CL in Rural Lincolnshhire

Recently stayed here for 4 nights, this is an immaculate well cared for CL. The welcome on arrival was warm and friendly, and we were invited to choose any vacant pitch. All pitches are level and spacious on well tended grass, the site is well drained as we had torrential rain one day, but the pitch did not become waterlogged, which is a bonus! A few free range hens happily wander around the CL, I assume that they provide the eggs for the B&B. Surrounding area is very peaceful, the CL is located down a leafy country lane with little or no traffic. Nicely situated to visit either the coast or inland towns - we particularly liked Woodhall Spa - This is a CL we plan to return to as often as we can Highly recommended

Top Site

This is a wonderful CL in a very rural and quiet location. Very good facilities available making this more like a mini club site than a CL. We use this site a lot and find the Bed and Breakfast accommodation (also highly recommended - cracking breakfast!) useful for family who visit the area at the same time but who are not caravanners. We have also used the holiday cottages on occasion. The nearby town of Louth is well worth a visit especially on market days. Some very good places to eat not far away. This is one of our favourite sites where we stay 4 or 5 times a year and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone visiting the area.

West View

A very nice CL located a few miles from the attractive town of Louth, Lincolnshire. The site is easy to find and access is good. Facilities include toilet and shower, which are servicable. There is a selection of information and leaflets and also a book exchange. These are shared with the three holiday cottages that form part of the site. The whole site is well-maintained and attractively managed, with planting, a water feature and seating in a courtyard area. Immediately behind the pitching area is a large field that serves as a dog walking area which our dog thoroughly enjoyed. We enjoyed our visit and will return.
