First visit to this site. Very easy to find and very good access. Met by Tony who was very welcoming and pointed out where the various facilities were. The only caution he gave us was to avoid driving on the grass as it was still a bit soft. He apologised for the grass which had only just been cut and was not as neat as he would have liked it. However no apology needed. a very well kept site. The site was level and with 5 hard standings the site is very well laid out. He placed us directly opposite our friends unit. There are two water taps. One near the entrance and the other about halfway around between the units which is really useful.
The previous reviews mentioned some road noise which was evident but not alarmingly so. As we were prepared for it, it was no problem. However no one had mentioned the neighbours dog which seemed to yap for England, some times into the night. Now that was annoying. But I guess out of Tony's control .
The site is very well situated for places of interest. We walked out, along a sometimes busy road with some very fast traffic. However we were soon off this and onto footpaths and heading for Dering Wood which is lovely . We ended up at the Rose and crown PH which is sort of almost behind the site. Lovely Pub, with lovely food. Dog friendly in the garden and bar area.
The next day we walked up to Pluckley village about just over a mile or so. Lovely walk lovely village. Must visits are the Church and the black horse Pub. There is a butchers and Post office/ general store all within a gnats of each other.
Overall, lovely site with a lovely host in a lovely part of Kent. Recommended.
Visited this site after a caravan service and it did not disappoint. The weather at the time was snow and suface water on all major roads but the hardstandings here coped admirally. The actual day here was cold but sunny allowing for a walk to the nearby pub in Munday Bois Road about a mile away on a quiet road but I cannot remember name now!
A stroll around Pluckey is not far just use the backstreets not road. The site is very well signposted and I suppose you can hear traffic but you are in farming country here.
Definately worth a visit when the sun does shine.
We stayed here in March and had to extend our stay due to snow at home. We had a lovely stay, Tony was very welcoming and helpful. The site is kept tidy even in the poor weather. I would highly recommend this site for its ease of use and location. There is so much to see and do in Kent and this site is well placed for a quiet stay or exploring.
We stayed at this site for 4 nights in September while we visited family in the area. If we could have stayed longer, we would have done so! Penny and Tony gave us a lovely welcome on arrival and were the perfect hosts..on hand if they were needed but not constantly around us. The site is beautifully maintained with large, hard standing pitches. The area is lovely, plenty of places to visit. On our final day, we wanted to leave later in the evening rather than the midday departure time as the Dartford Tunnel was very busy. Penny and Tony were more than happy for us to spend the extra hours there as the site was quiet, and could not have been more accommodating. We would highly recommend this beautifully maintained site for it's peaceful location and friendly owners. It also has the added bonus of being open all year and we have already booked to return in December!
We stayed here for two nights over a bank holiday to be close to family staying in the area. We hope to return. It is so encouraging to find a well planned and spacious all year site in a wonderful location. The pitches are large and well spaced, the services are all close at hand and well organised and the owners are very welcoming. The amount of thought and consideration that has gone into planning this lovely site and planting it out so beautifully is rare to find. There are good local pubs and a farm shop, all set out in the welcome information. The owners Penny and Tony are there to help but allow their guests peace and quiet. Apart from the cockerel next door, which we would have happily had for Sunday lunch(!) the place is an oasis of peace and calm. We hope to return and spend more time investigating the area. The CL is easily accessible from the A20/M20 and a good stopover if heading for the tunnel or ferries. There is so much to do in the local area that you need to stay for a few days. Thank you for being so accommodating on our first visit.

We spent a week here with our motorhome, really well laid out site with a generous amount of room around each of the hard standing pitches. It seems that more and more CL's are laying on electricity, but it still seems a luxury to us and very welcome. Pluckley railway station about 25 minutes away, plenty of walking and good area for cycling. If pubs are your thing, then there is a really good/popular one (Rose and Crown) within 15/20 minutes walk.
The owners Penny and Tony, were both very friendly and also a source of local info and knowledge. We would thoroughly recommend a visit anytime of the year as this site is open 12 months. M+K from Shirley, Surrey
Nice welcome from Tony&Penny. First night had problems with our electrics,in the morning Tony came over and with tests and phone calls to friends managed to sort it.Many thanks for that.Dog friendly, acres of room between pitches and pitch whichever way you want, who needs more. Can recommend Rose&Crown, lovely pint.A future fixture.
This site will definitely be top of our list for winter visits. It is all hard-standing and good quality ground. The site is kept really well, nice and tidy with short grass areas. A dog walk is behind an area of meadow grass. There are footpaths across the road which lead to fields and a really nice woodland.
The local village of Pluckley is said to be the most haunted village in the country but who knows!
Very friendly owners, plenty of space between caravans and was very quiet when we were there.
Tidy site well kept. Would recommend and we would certainly stay again. One of the better CL's
What can we say about this site, location and it's owners!!!
It's set in a beautiful area where you can either walk in orchards laden with every type of fruit you can imagine or walk to the many pubs that surround the area.from the site you are not far from Canterbury,Broadstairs of Byrne all of which we visited..Ashford is a lovely town and The location of Darling Buds of May is nearby 2miles.
The site is very large for a CL and you've got plenty of space to do what you want..water points are everywhere and waste disposal is clean and tidy,
The owners are two of the most genuine people we have met on ANY site, they really are a credit.
Penny and Tony run this as if there been doing all their lives and just breeze through everything.
Tony is a great laugh advised us on where to go,Staying for a week helps and we had some good laughs with the postie's (Roy and Ann) and the Prof.(Mike and Karen)
All in all a fantastic place, people, and site....
