Wonderful site
We spent two delightful nights at Valais. The site is as well maintained as other reviewers describe. The various animals - sheep, goats and horses - around the site are kept in small paddocks but are easily observed. They give the site character and interest. The pitches are generous in size and are closely mown. The owners are extremely friendly but never intrusive.
Bishop’s Castle in nearby and an interesting place to wander around. A little further away is Clun, another attractive town. We also walked a little way along Offa’s Dyke, which is situated in lovely hilltop countryside giving wide views.
Very glad we stayed.
