A great stay!
We spent 3 nights on this site and its a gem of a find.Tucked away, who would know that you were there! Close to local attractions of which there are many, and also in very close proximity.
This is a new site and new venture for Ruth and Ian, and they are trying very hard to create a nice place to come too. Talking to Ruth describing what they had to do and the work involved in creating it was great to listen too. What a challenge! They are the first to admit its not perfect and are more than open to suggestions.
The site has fantastic views over Amber Valley, Crich stand in the distance and is a lovely vista to wake up too in a morning.
The site is on a sloping field and has varying degrees of steepness, but what do expect with the Derbyshire hills. That's what makes it a beautiful place. You will need some form of leveling device on the hard standing pitches as a result, and not so much on the grass if you choose your spot carefully.
The usual septic, grey water, and drinking water facilities are brand new and excellent.
Being in close proximity to the A38, there is a little traffic noise, but it does not detract from the overall feeling of the place.
I will definitely be coming here again....very soon.
