It's a different climate up here!

We stayed for a week on this site in July. The weather was disappointing, very windy and quite a lot of rain but nearby coast was often dry and much warmer. We realised that the site is over 1000 ft. Up, so beware! It is all hard standing with extensive and open views in all directions.   Take you hiking boots as the toilets and showers, of which there are many! Are 100yards away down quite a steep driveway! We have grown accustomed to having a comprehensive pack of leaflets on local places of interest available and were surprised to find just a few scattered around in the toilet shed. We also expect to find a list of local emergency telephone numbers, no such list was in evidence. It is a working farm so perhaps they had little time to add fine touches to the site. The local pub is within walking distance but sadly lacks 'atmosphere' and hence people, we ate elsewhere. We did enjoy our stay but would try to find a less exposed CL if visiting the area again.

Charming place to stay!

Having driven through wind and heavy rain to get to this site, we were greated by a smiley owner who welcomed us and wished us a pleasant stay. We were directed to the hard standing areas in the field away from the farm house and quickly made ourselves at home. Woke up next morning to a far better view - snowdonia in the background - the sea to the other window and little lambs frolocking in the field next to us - it was bliss, and quiet too, bar the odd car that passes along the small a road.  Close to places like Llandunno and Colwyn Bay it was easy to get around and the local pub is good for a meal or two! One of the best CL sites we have stayed on, clean toilets and showers too that are free!

Relaxing stay!

Stayed on site for a week in mid August, weather was extremely good for us! Made very welcome by site owners & their sheep! LocalPlacesOfInterest great for local sightseeing. Everywhere a bit hilly but taken carefully with the van no problem getting to site. Visited nearby pub just the once & had very pleasant meal. Facilities on site very clean, recycling good & wifi surprisingly good for location. Thank you

idyllic location

Only our second trip out in our tourer and we couldn't of had a better experience of a CL site. The weather was glorious so we really lucky but the site lived up to the reviews and we will definitely be back, owner's are very friendly and helpful and if we had to find a negative it would have to be the Holland Arms pub which although is only a 10 min walk it is expensive apart from a special menu on a Mon & Tues but it is closed Weds & Thurs but apart from that lived up to reviews.

A little gem

What a gem! We have just spent 7 nights on this lovely site with great views of the countryside and the coast in the distance. Very friendly owners, lots to do within a short drive and handy for the A55. The showers and toilet facilities are an added bonus and we would certainly recommend the site to anyone wishing for peace and tranquility.

Crackin' site

Lovely site, quiet, friendly, clean, easy access, central for coastal attractions & Snowdon nat park, shale pitches next to grass if you have an awning. Lovely friendly people, we will certainly be returning to this site.

Back again

We enjoyed this site so much last September we came back for a further fortnight and having given a glowing review last time I would not normally review again but the site has been improved with the addition of free wifi. Made a really good site perfect.

Stunning!

Beautiful site with good size pitches. Toilet block bigger than expected with free hot showers. Great place to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet with snowdonia within a 45 minute drive for the bigger mountains, but take time to explore Conwy valley which is a hidden gem. Owners very welcoming and willing to let you get involved on farm. We had a go at shearing sheep during our stay! So go during shearing season and you too could try. Also got to see the new calves close up. Added bonus of free wifi so can check weather, although we were lucky with a week of sunshine. This site is a fine example of why we chose cl's. And bonus of no noisy children which is ideal for us. Dog friendly with nice walk on quiet lanes before breakfast over looking mountains.

Lovely

Stayed here 2 nights.  Friendly owners, level pitches, clean, practical toilet and showers.  Within easy reach of North Wales coastal towns.  Will return when in the area.

Leicestershire Fox

As stated on the tin. A quite site with wonderful views. Easy access to all areas. Friendly and helpful owners. Would be useful to have detailed route from the A55 as the B5113 is not signposted from this major road.
