Great CL
I do not want to big this site up too much in case it's booked up when I want to
visit again. The site is situated 0.9 miles from the main road to Ingoldmels,
set amongst field upon field of arable fields, on arrival my initial thoughts
were its a working farm (due to seeing a tractor in the yard) but, it is not a
farm and although there is a agricultural buildings business run from here it
doesn't impact on the peace and tranquility of the site. If you don't like what
the countryside has to offer then don't go here. Our stay consisted of 6 nights
towards the end of September and saw deer entering the small wooded area where
the site is situated, also the barn owl, rabbits, lots of badger evidence and
nearly all the countryside birds visited the bird feeder situated on site. We
also heard shotguns, tractors, cows in the distance and the odd jet overhead,
but they didn't faze us as these things are expected in the Lincolnshire
countryside. The site itself has 5 well proportioned pitches and a large
disabled friendly toilet/shower room, with recycling facilities to the side and
chemical waste to the rear. Each pitch has its own water and drain. It is
surrounded by small trees and shrubs, with a grassed area to the rear. The whole
site is hard standing and slightly sloping so no worries about flooding or mud
on site. The owners Sarah & Kevin own the fields that immediately surround the
site so walking the dog wasn't a problem. Sarah & Kevin are a friendly couple
and being caravanner's themselves have gone beyond the basic needs that
caravanner's require. Our main shop was done at morrisons in Skegness less than
20 minutes away, then we topped up at tesco express in Ingoldmels less than 10
minutes away, there are some village shops and pubs closer but what we was after
was Peace and tranquility around the site and we certainly found it here, Yet
the site is in a position close enough to the hustle & bustle of Ingoldmels if
you want a very short trip out. This is a site we will definitely be returning
to. Car boots are in abundance around here a large one on Tuesdays and Sundays
is situated 5 minutes away on the main road towards Ingoldmels.
