Wonderful Welcome

We stayed for two nights. The site is new, the pitches are hard standing with plenty of space and a grass area to each pitch. For motorhomes you can "drop" your grey water easily. (generally not available on CLs). Cottingham is just over a mile away and has all the facilities that you require from pubs, petrol station to takeaways and restaurants etc. The site is ideally located for Hull, the ferry, Beverley and the surrounding areas. We could not have been made more welcome and we will be returning. Thank you Lesley. The cakes were great!

Great Easter Break

Prompt response to enquiry re availability. Site easy to access.  Pleasant greeting by owners including lovely homemade flapjack on arrival.  Information folder available of local places of interest.  Ideal location to visit students at Hull Uni.  Will be interesting to see how site develops when plants & shrubs grow.  We'll be back.

Wonderful Welcome

We arrived on site and were welcomed immediately by Lesley who was out helping another customer get set up. We had a choice of pitches and Lesley couldn't have been more helpful. We were on hard standing inside a fenced area - the laurel and trees are newly planted and will provide great backdrop once fully established (hence three stars). We had access to temporary electrics and full electrics will be completely available in two weeks time.  Lesley brought us all some welcoming chocolate cake which went down a treat.  (We will definitely be back for more). This CL is handy for visiting areas of East Yorkshire such as historic market town of Beverley, Bempton Cliffs at Bridlington for bird watchers, Driffield with its show ground and different events throughout the year, Hornsea and the seaside, Cottingham and its cafes and pubs and Hull with the Marina, the Deep and its historical museums to name but a few.  So much to see and do around the area.  If you are visiting the Lawns show then this is the place to book. We look forward to coming back later in the season to see how this CL is developing (and for more cake).   Thank you Lesley and Philip for making us feel welcome and answering all our questions.

welcoming gem of a site.

Being the first van on this site, it was nice to see such a well maintained and manicured area. A choice of 5 hard standings and or grass pitches in an easy to enter area. Lesley and Philip gave us a very friendly welcome and were helpful throughout our stay, giving advice on train times/tickets and areas of interest locally. They also had a folder with information about local amenities. We had a great day at Bempton Cliffs watching the birds and another at Beverley for the market and beer festival. Philip is in the midst of sorting the electrics but we had use of an outside socket with no issues. The nearest pub is about a 25 minute walk, as is the railway station. We will be back again in the near future.
