Cornish idyll

We first stayed at the CL 15 years ago before it had electric hook-ups. It has since changed hands but apart from the site looking much more overgrown and therefore smaller than we remembered, it is still a beautiful, peaceful site with lovely views. There are fairly flat areas to pitch at the top of the site but it then slopes sharply down to an estuary where when the the tide is out you can walk along the shoreline or launch a canoe or dingy. There is a permissive footpath you can use when the tide is in otherwise, which is great for walking dogs. There is a flooded quarry, which is roped off but it could pose a danger to young children. The owner is very laid back and accommodating but he does occasionally allow more than five caravans, which is always an annoyance when the reason you use CLs is because of the five van rule. The approach to the site is down a very narrow, winding lane so may be difficult for bigger outfits. All in all a gem of a site.
