Just got home from a lovely (but wet) weekend at Totteridge Farm CL, Pewsey. Sun, showers, heavy rain - we had it all - but Caroline was so welcoming & helpful - even offering to drop us to viewpoints if we wanted. The weather forecast wasn’t good though (unfortunately accurate) so we settled for lovely walks along the Kennet & Avon canal. Friday into Pewsey Wharf & Pewsey, beer in a pub garden, collect a takeaway & taxi back. Saturday to the delightful Wootten Rivers & a lovely lunch at the village (thatched) pub. Horses in the fields, buzzards & red kites overhead, a flock of guinea fowl wandering past, bunnies munching next to the van at dusk, cuckoos & owls could be heard, and a shooting star was seen. Picnic tables for every pitch, fresh eggs and farm wine available as well as all the normal services. Even camping pods in the next field for friends/family that don’t have a van. Highly recommended!
