We arrived in this site 19/20th April. Beautiful site on large paddock with two lovely stallions in the field next to you. Lovely and peaceful site. No frills. Just us and one other camper. Peaceful. Friendly owners. Easy access to site. Beautiful walks in woodland and a walk to castle Combe village is a must. Beautiful picture postcard village. Great for petrol heads as castle Coombe circuit is just down the road. Stunning sunsets and just a really lovely site to stay on. We will def be back. We took our dog and our little tortoise with us whom was the talk of the campsite. Both lived it. π€£π€£ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Great CL
Lovely CL and very well maintained. Good communication from the owner who sent me very comprehensive directions (needed around this area, lots of roads you wouldnβt want to take a caravan down!). Lots of room to pitch up, with a few picnic benches as well. Access is good, No problem getting our twin axle in and out.
The area is a beautiful place to visit, lots of lovely walks/cycles and great country pubs with good food.
5 stars all round
So glad we booked this CL site. We found it on the CL Booking Facebook page which is great for finding late availability sites. We stayed for 3 nights but could so easily have stayed for longer, it is so well located for exploring the many beautiful villages in the Cotswolds. Communication from Sara was excellent including clear directions to the site. The final approach roads are country lanes, plenty wide enough for a large Motorhome with passing places so no need to feel anxious about accessibility, just be brave, the road is very quiet! We travelled around by scooter and visited the well known villages of Lacock and Castle Combe but the closer ones of Biddestone and Corsham are just as lovely with fewer tourists, there is a large Co op at Corsham. There is a walking route taking in Biddestone, Slaughterford and onto Ford, which is well worth doing, Betty who lives in the bungalow on the site gave us a leaflet on this walk. The CL site itself is a large field, plenty of space to spread out, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and Welsh mountain ponies for entertainment. Betty is readily available for chats about the local area and gave us some of her locally grown produce, she certainly made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back as there is so much more of this area that we want to explore and itβs also a great place to just chill out and relax.
Fantastic new CL
This is place is a real gem. The information upon booking was helpful including the useful directions and map. Loads of room to pitch up with magnificent views and sunsets. There are so many places to visit in the local area as well as lovely walking just off the site. We had a day in Bath where we felt spoilt for choice in terms of eateries. We also ate at the dog friendly local pub just down the road, the food was delicious.
Our stay was shorter than we wanted so we missed out on doing so much more. We will certainly come back, I just hope we can get in - this is already a popular site!
Excellent CL
Large grass field, high with good views. Basic facilities, no electricity. Foals galloping in adjacent field. Walking from site along quiet country lanes and footpaths through arable fields with varied landscapes and views. Pleasant, attentive owners.

Lovely peaceful quiet site
We found this site by chance. Sarah gave us clear precise instructions including a map to the location of the site. Most useful as the Lanes are quite small and narrow. On arrival we had a wonderful welcome from Betty. Betty was also a wealth of local knowledge and suggestions for good places to visit. The White Hart pub is a 15-minute walk and would recommend. Although the hill is quite steep. A wonderful backdrop with the ponies and their foals. And plenty of space to spread out.
