One of North Yorkshire's Finest

Our booking was made for Abbey View CL, but we were asked if we would prefer to go to Toft House Farm on a hard standing as the ground at Abbey View was very wet. Knowing how wet the weather has been we accepted. The sites are almost opposite each other on the edge of the pretty village of Aislaby. Access to the site and pitch was easy. The site is well kept with nicely mown grass. Frank the owner greeted us warmly and checked we were alright. The village pub is five minutes walk away and does reasonable meals. Esk Valley Fish & Chip shop in the next village of Sleights is well worth a visit. The park and ride for Whitby is five minutes up the road or an hourly bus service runs past the site. This area of North Yorkshire has stunning beaches, coves and villages. A couple of miles and you are onto the North York Moors National Park. Go and see for yourselves!
