Very scenic and peaceful

This off-grid site is lovely and allows you to choose from a variety of 'pitches' either in the open or under trees. We pitched up and were soon enjoying the peace and quiet which was only interrupted by the pair of nesting sparrow hawks as they looked after their young. Ajoining the site are some leads mines and these are great from both a historical point of view, and because of the wild-life (especially insects) that now have colonised the area - a lovely area for macro photographers at the right time of year. We had some lovely walks directly from the site around the quiet lanes and along the footpaths, which are numerous. The one downside is that the grass was a tad too long, and we got wet feet early in the mornings, as well as dragged grass into the van. Other than that, this is a lovely site, and the owners were very welcoming - we will return very soon.

Pleased you enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the site and the adjacent ancient monument SSSI and all that it offers.
Regarding the grass, mowing had been difficult to fit in with the continued occupancy and the proceeding wet weather which prohibited it to  completed more frequently which is our usual preference to reduce the clippings issue.
Hope to see you again sometime.
