A nice little site especially for those with a small vans as there is a toilet & shower on site, which is always a bonus for us. That said it's ideal for larger vans & caravans too! The welcome on arrival was warm & welcoming & the pitches were level looking down the valley towards Hesket Newmarket. We chose to go there for a meal in the evening & stayed far longer than we intended.... great pub & food! Loads of old photo albums & books, warm & cozy atmosphere. The site has great TV reception but phone signal wasn't so good. It was peaceful & quiet despite being a working farm. The acces road is quite long & a little lumpy in places but shouldn't present any problems to the vast majority of vehicles & access onto the pitches is very good. The area around here is well worth exploring some really lovely places on the edge of "The Lakes" Penrith & Carlisle are not far away either. Well worth a visit!
