Disappointing.
On the plus side, the campsite is next to Thornton reservoir which has a good two and a half mile circular walk or bike ride. However, pitches 2 to 5 are extremely cramped together, although pitch 1 is by itself. It doesn't feel like you've arrived at a campsite though, more a gravel track leading to a gravelled area. The pitch had dog poo on it when we arrived, a nonchalant rat strolled past as we were eating, and a relentless cockerel crowed from dawn until we left. Animals notwithstanding, I'm surprised this passed as a caravan and motorhome club site, it's the worst certified location we've visited in 14 years.
