Stopped over for 2 nights on the way to Northumberland - wish we’d stayed a bit longer .
Lovely peaceful site . Friendly owners .
Easy access to Park and Ride to York and local attractions .
Owners above and beyond
Owners going above and beyond to make your stay happy. A Genuine, lovely couple who did not bat an eyelid coming out late at night in terrible weather to lead us to the site after we got ourselves hopelessly lost in the outskirts of York.
Nice quiet and peaceful pitch, would not hesitate to return or recommend.
Many thanks :o)
Five days of chill!
Arrived in the dark but we were greeted with a smile and led by owner to site. Got to choose our pitch and couldn’t believe our luck as had site to ourselves for a couple of days. Very little traffic passing site. It’s a mystery why the site was not full over a bank hol weekend? Everything was easy to access on the site, we used the park and ride to visit York (Several around the city) and enjoyed a fish and chip evening from the award winning Millers in Haxby. There are many places to visit within a short drive and we enjoyed a jaunt into Haxby (less than 1.5m) to do a little shopping and visit one of the watering holes. Keep an eye out for wildlife, moorhens, deer and buzzards to list a few.
Great week, stress free.
We try to stay at local cl’s to support small business.
The arrival was very easy, we were met by the owner and walked down to the pitch.
Owners are very helpful and friendly.
2 large fields with only 5 vans allowed. Loads of space.
Very quiet location which was what we needed.
Easy access to local amenities and attraction’s.
The site hasn’t seen the increase in booking since lockdown was finished
which is a pity.
Looking for a relaxing stay. Then it’s well worth a look.
So Close to York!!!!!!
I picked this site as it seemed to be away from main roads, this proved to be right. Site is easy to find ( although I did look on google maps first) and is situated at the end of a long no through road which is a bit rough in places. Was met at entrance, shown where everything is and told we could pitch anywhere on the two fields available. We chose a pitch in the first field and were surprised to find only one other pitch occupied. It is everything a grass site needs to be, electric easy to hook up single water tap at entrance and waste in top field away from any pitch.
Slight downside is the closeness of what I presume is a RAF Base as we heard noisy jets flying nearby, never did see them!
York Park and Ride is about 10 minute drive, there is a discount for bus pass users.
Would we go back? Possibly
Could be much improved if hard standings were installed.
The Yulees
We have enjoyed staying many times on this peaceful, rural farm site. It offers an escape from the hustle & bustle, however is very conveniently located for accessing shops, pubs & the historic city of York. If you fancy heading further afield, the East coast is approximately an hour away. The owners are lovely welcoming people, the site is dog/child friendly.
Lovely, quiet and spacious CL
Lovely friendly owners, very responsive to enquiries. We have stayed at this peaceful site quite a few times now over the past year. It is tucked away at the end of a long track, no through traffic so it's very quiet.
There are 2 spacious fields to accommodate 5 vans. Electric hookup, water tap, waste bins and chemical emptying point, owner has provided antibacterial wipes and hand sanitiser at these points which is a nice touch in these Covid times!
A short distance from the village of Haxby & Wigginton with local shops and pubs, and only 6 miles from the A64.
This site is ideal for visiting York and surrounding areas.
always welcoming
we visit this site to see our daughters who live close by.
it gives us freedom to visit and spend time on our own
Just what we wanted.
This was our first visit to this site.......off the beaten track so to speak which was nice and although a bit basic, it had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away. The weather was on our side whilst being parked on grass. We checked in with the farmer who was very friendly and made us welcome. All in all, a very nice visit.
The yulees
What a fab little site. Only about 3 miles from the park and ride to get into York and easy to find following directions given. Lovely little site with no hassle. Pulled up, spoke to the owner, parked the van and payed the following day, just what I want from a Cl no hassle. Hook ups at all pitches. Would defo recommend. Will be back
