We enjoyed a five day break over the May bank holiday weekend with great weather thrown in for good measure. I know the area well having visited the highlands for over 50 years and my sister now lives only a few miles away. The owners are very experienced hoteliers and the hotel food was very good! Inverness is only 20 mins away and Fort augustus about 35-40 mins depending on how distracted you are by the scenery! We had the wonderful sight one evening of watching a pair of Hares boxing in the adjacent field. It is a great location, very quiet, stunning views, friendly and helpful site owners. Our only observations are the lower 2 pitches are quite sandy and our awning pegs wouldn't bite so had to abandon that (the uppper pitches have a topping layer which seemed to help) and the loo's in the hotel are only accessible during 'pub' opening hours so you do need to be self sufficient, otherwise a great site! I have to say anyone expecting a bus route hasn't done their research properly, this is not fault of the site owners!
