A great base to explore Norfolk from.

This is a lovely site with fully serviced pitches which are always a bonus and make a stay relaxed and trouble free. We were given a great welcome and Paul and Sue were keen to ensure our visit was a good one. The site is flat and the facilities, should you want to use them, are second to none. Everything is 'spick and span' and properly organised. As an extra Paul noticed me checking my car tyre pressures and came across to ensure everything was OK. He kindly offered to check the tyres with his compressor. Service beyond the call of duty and much appreciated. And for those that might need it there is a super holiday cottage available with a second one to be available soon. Fred and Jan Brown

A quiet weekend.

A 5 star CL, some hard standings and all pitches with own water and waste drain. Good chemical loo disposal just off ground level. Really big pitches with loads of space inbetween, very quiet location with no traffic noise at night, just the owl. The local lanes are very quiet and ideal for cycling. Check out the MNR heritage railway, take your bikes on the train from Wymondham to Dereham. There is also a very nice holiday cottage soon to be two, if you want to meet up with non caravanning friends and family.

Five star CL

Little to add to the previous reviews. Totally agree that this is a fantastic CL with all the excellent facilities that you need for a great caravan experience. Fantastic hosts who are extremely welcoming, without being intrusive and who do all they can to ensure that you have a great time.

Great return visit

Lovely CL, this was our second visit! Beautiful setting with generously sized pitches, great hosts who were very friendly and helpful. Facilities are still some of the cleanest and well kept that we've experienced in over 25 years of caravanning. Perfect location for visiting the surrounding area. Lots of space for the kids to play, good pubs nearby. Would highly recommend this site. Oh we almost forget the sunsets! Paul, Kerry and family.

Excellent site, spacious pitches

Lovely site owned by a very friendly couple. Bathroom and toilet is new and very very clean. Huge flat pitches in beautiful surroundings. Local roads are flat with easy cycling to explore the local villages. Paul and Suzanne really care and have worked very hard - you can see this everywhere on the site. We love sitting outside on our huge pitch listening to the birds, so relaxing. Thank you Paul and Suzanne for a lovely stay

Outstanding CL

We booked this site after searching the CAMC CL sites to fit with our plans, we were not disappointed at all. Sue & Paul are owners who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome on their site. It’s clear a lot of thought and effort has gone in to designing and building the site and that it has been done by people who use sites themselves. The surprise were the immaculate toilet and shower facilities, on top of the pitches that come with waste water, fresh water and EHU. Ideal for dog walkers as it is exceptionally dog friendly, the grass areas look like centre court at Wimbledon. We cannot speak highly enough of The Stables, if you’re looking for somewhere in Norfolk as a base, or just for a chill out, then we highly recommend it. We will most definitely be back, Sue and Paul make you feel like old friends visiting. Giving the top rating it deserves, we’ll done Sue & Paul and thank you for a great stay.

First trip with our first caravan

We agree with all the comments about the pitches, facilities, surroundings etc. - all fantastic. We found Suzanne and Paul very helpful with lots of top tips from their experience with caravans, without being 'you don't want to do it like that' or pushy.

New site on the block

Well, what can we say? We’ve just spent a brilliant week at this beautiful, spacious and peaceful site. The fully serviced, level pitches are 20m apart, so there was never a feeling of being on top of your neighbours. Your hosts, Paul & Sue are very warm and friendly and keep the grounds and toilet/shower immaculate. There are also lovely flower tubs dotted around and on every pitch. For a new site that only opened last year, it has become quickly established and will become a very sought after location in the future. We wish Paul and Sue every success and would like to thank you again for your hospitality. This is definitely at the top of our list for the future, should we visit Norfolk again.
