Large flat pitches with short grass, fully serviced. Large clean bathroom with great shower, exclusive to us as no neighbours for the 4 nights we stayed. Very good value and great to find a CL in this area that wasn’t Adults only. Lots of room to run around.
We enjoyed Peckover House & Gardens in Wisbech, free car park nearby. We did also visited Hunstanton RNLI.
Very friendly local pub The Little Chequers with good food. Check opening times, we visited Wednesday, open 5-9pm.
Metal security gate accessed by mobile phone, works really well. Emails with Owners before arrival, they were away during our stay but son was available to welcome us. In all a great few days & would recommend.
Fabulous. We just spent three peaceful, well apart from the abundance of bird song, including a woodpecker and the resident beautiful Peacock and Peahens singing away, nights here. Locked metal security gate at entrance (you are given a number to ring to get in and out). A wonderfully cheerful warm welcome from Lisa and Shaun on arrival. The loo and huge shower, room is heated and spacious, with a pot wash and kettle area to one side and chemical waste to the other. The grass is kept to a great length (that is their business so it should be great) and all cuttings taken up so no grass in the caravan. Serviced pitches. Great 4g signal and we managed just over 400 channels on the tv without adjusting the caravan aerial. Great views. The sun rises behind the caravan in the morning and the sunsets were spectacular. Huge field and one half ideal for a good dog walk/run in the morning and before bed. As the weather was so good we didn’t look into any long dog walks but there must be lots from site and close by. The Little Chequers pub is about 15 minute walk from site, round the edges of a couple of fields, walk mown by Shaun, and straight into the pub garden, this has a pizza oven on a Friday and serves food itself also, this pub recommended The Oliver Twist for a takeaway Sunday lunch as the Chequers don’t do one. We also ate at Route 47 American Diner, dog friendly and the Crazy Cow Cafe in Wisbech Park - as there was an event in the park the cafe menu was limited and all take out so might be worth a visit on a normal day, dog friendly. A big Morrison’s and an Aldi nearby plus petrol station etc. The photos on here make it look nice but it was even better in real life. It’s just all done very well, everything you need, one of our favourites, give it a try. I could go on but I'll let you find out how great it is for yourself.
