Perfect

Have just returned from a seven night stay at this perfect CL. Very easy access from main roads and well signposted. There was a couple of vacant pitches which we had the choice of on arrival. The site is very clean, neat and mostly level. Barbara came and found us once we had settled in, to make sure everything was ok and provided some useful information about the area. The water tap and drain available for each pitch was an absolute bonus and one we made use of for the very first time. Will definitely recommend to friends and fellow caravanners and will return ourselves in the near future.

We loved it.

We've just enjoyed a tranquil six days at The Paddocks. Mrs Cook met us on arrival and pointed out everything about the site and also the local places we may like to visit during our stay. The site was a well kept and level paddock. I loved the fact that the site was fully serviced, so no having to fill our Aqua-Rolls or empty the Wastemaster at regular intervals, definitely a plus for people of our age!! Beccles was only a very short drive away and had the supermarkets and a variety of shops and pubs, including a Weatherspoons. Norwich was about 16 miles distant and was a pleasant drive. More locally was Raveningham Estate, with a small business community and cafe/eatery. Also on the estate is the walled gardens. The couple on the pitch next to us had just spent their 30th night there this year!! A definite recommendation if ever needed. Fresh hens eggs are also to be had when available. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

A beautiful Suffolk hideaway.

This is a lovely site for a quiet escape to the country, where you'll be woken by birdsong rather than traffic. The site has 5 generously spaced, level plots each with EHU, water and grey waste. There's also a well maintained toilet disposal with rinsing tap is in a screened off area conveniently located at the top of the paddock behind the notice board. Within the notice board, Barbara has thoughtfully provided details of places to visit in the surrounding area as well as some walking and cycling routes from the site. This is an adults only, dog friendly site, which suited us perfectly. Sadly the pub in Toft Monks is not dog friendly so we saved our money and enjoyed our own food and bevvies. Lots of places to walk the doggies on and around the site. It's less than 3 miles to the lovely market town of Beccles and fuel and Supermarkets are handily placed as you drive towards and enter the town. Boats available to hire by the river too. Highly recommend this site. We will be regular visitors.

A Gem

Stayed for five nights and found The Paddocks to be the perfect CL. The ground is level, each large pitch has 16amp hook up, fresh water tap and grey waste drainage. The chemical waste point is well screened as are the recycling bins. The owners are friendly and helpful. An added bonus was being able to pick mushrooms for breakfast. At £12 per night it is a gem of a CL.

Ideal CL

We have been here several times now and it never ceases to please. Just site your van, plug in electrics, water and grey waste and you're ready to go. Emptying the toilet is also easy peasy. Access from the main Beccles/Yarmouth road is simple. Good dog walks which suits Mollyminx down to the ground. The site is not far from Lowestoft or Great Yarmouth so ideally suited if you want the tranquility of the countryside or the hustle and bustle of seaside towns.

Peaceful & well maintained - A perfect CL

The Paddocks is just as you would wish a CL to be. A very well maintained site with more than enough space to accommodate the regulation 5 outfits. The bonus of water, electricity and grey water waste all available at each pitch made for an easy and quick set-up. The owner, Mrs. Cook, made us very welcome and gave us plenty of local knowledge for our visit. This is truly a quiet location, but is within a short drive from all facilities on offer in Beccles and beyond. We thoroughly recommend a stay at The Paddocks if you are looking for base in this part of the Southern Broads. Ron and Pam

Where has the five star review which we gave last year gone?

After finding this site last year we gave it a five star review. However, following the change to the clubs website our review and the reviews left by other members vanished. The loss of the reviews may have helped us this year with space available over the May Bank Holiday which allowed us to book for a week. The loss did not help the site owner's bookings as we are sure had the reviews still been listed all pitches would have been booked and no space would have been available. We therefore wish to re-inform members of our views gained from 21 nights last year and a further 7 nights so far this year. The route to the site is well signed and on reaching the wide entrance to the site there is a board welcoming members and listing current local information. The site is of close mown and collected grass with a number of picnic benches for members use. Each large numbered pitch has electric hookup, fresh water tap and waste water point. Chemical waste is well screend and the dry waste has recycling facilities. The pitches overlook a hay paddock which is bordered by a close mown path which is perfect for the first and last dog walk of the day. A further dog walk is in the wood ajacent to the site. Longer footpaths leave the site to the local village and pub with mapa available on the information board. For those members who need a base for exploring the broads or for those oldies like us who just need a quiet site to wathch the wildlife or just chill out we find The Paddocks offers excellent value. We will visit again soon (if you have space) Well done and thank you Barbara and your family. Alex & Jenny
