What a perfect site

We loved this site. It's a lovely meadow in the middle of an orchard. No EHU, but water and waste disposal. The owners are lovely. We loved watching the rabbits playing in the evening. A perfect site.

Wildlife Haven

A very convenient place for us to stay for visiting our son. We were welcomed by the owners, who then explained where everything is. There is lots in place to encourage wildlife such as an insect 'hotel', a wildflower meadow (which was full of butterflies and bees while we were there), fruit trees etc. Paths had been mown through the longer grass so it was easy to walk around and explore. We saw quite a bit of wildlife while we there. Access to nearby attractions by road is straightforward, and the nearby village of Somersham provided shops and pubs. We were here for 3 nights and were surprised at how busy the B road running alongside the site actually was during the day. It's also quite straight which seemed to encourage traffic to go quite fast which meant noise especially with motorbikes. However, at night it was quiet and of course this is something very much outside of the control of our hosts. We will certainly be using this site again.

2 month's ago

We stayed here on the 4th July on our latest trip, ( still not home ) Very impressed with this site, the precautions taken to ensure the hand gell and sanitizer in place for visitors. Owners at hand if needed as others have said a little gem. Thank you

Lovely peaceful site

I stayed for 3 nights on this lovely site as soon as it reopened following the pandemic lockdown. The owners had provided hand sanitiser at the gate entrance and also at the service point along with wipes to clean down the dustbin handles and water taps. There was good signage to advise on social distancing. A great effort to ensure the safety of caravaners. The large well maintained site is very quiet with plenty of wildlife. The gate is locked and a code is required which was supplied at the time of booking. The security of the site was very reassuring. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place

We overnighted here on our way North. Very pretty, spacious site and quiet also. We spent most of our time watching the extremely large rabbits! Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Large and spacious site.

I stayed her for two nights mid week and had the whole site to myself. Mr & Mrs Jacklin have made this site a peaceful haven. Lots of wildlife about including an owl that can be heard at night. Handy for St Ives and surrounding area. The site has fresh water and a waste disposal point. No electricity but there is a charger for your battery, 50p, should you need it. You will have to take your battery to the charging point. This is a great site and I managed perfectly with just using the caravan battery and gas. I will certainly be returning here. No dogs allowed on site. Nice pub, The Windmill, a short walk from the site.Note: Watch the road as you exit as traffic goes far too fast along the Somersham to St Ives road.

Great little site which we intend to return too

We had the site to ourselves for the entire bank holiday weekend. Large and spacious site. Mr and Mrs Jacklin were very helpful and friendly. They have lived in the locality for a very long time. We have a motorhome which got stuck in mud when we tried to leave after the first night. Mr Jacklin towed us off with a tractor. There is a lot to do in this area and it is a convenient distance from home and so we intend to return.
