A basic cl, sheltered by hedges on 3 sides with access to water, waste and EHU. Only toilets are in the pub which is licked up out of hours. A nice location for walking by the river and, of course adjacent friendly hostelry!
There us a 'but' though - July 13th, a Saturday night.....£25!! The C&MH club listing is still showing £15, 2018 price!
And no discount offered if eating in the pub. Sadly, for us, this is top end for a basic CL.
Ok for £15
Basic site behind a pub. Electric available but not much else. Don't offer any discount if you eat in which is a shame as the food is not cheap. We opted to eat in the van even though the menu looks ok because there was nothing that grabbed us enough to pay full price on top of the pitch fee.
The price
We were charged £25, so that needs updating on here (and search 4 sites) We spent over £50 in the pub where the food and drinks are good (as previously reported) but think there should be a discount when using pub, as the CL only has basic facilities. Overall poor value for money. Recent rises in energy prices don't justify the hike in cost of this site.
Very poor cl site
The CL site is at the back of the pub on arrival the car park in the pub was busy with parked cars this resulted to the entrance to the site was blocked so we had to wait for cars to leave. The actual site was just a overgrown field with electric points added. The grass was overgrown on one side but on part of the grass ( where you canot put your caravan had been cut but all the overgrown grass cuttings had been left. To one side of the small field was a pile of rubbish with old broken rubble broken garden tables and used canisters ( probably beer pumps) and rubbish from the pub.the entrance was just loads of crushed concrete. The cost was £20 per night which is high for the standard of the CL site. Have been using Cl sites for many years and sad to say that this is one of the worst we have stayed on the pub car park was a better standard than the actual site. Its a shame as it has so much potential the actual pub is beautiful lovely outdoor area; the landlady and staff were very friendly and served amazing food. I am surprised the caravan and motorhome club has approved the CL site.but if improvements are made has the makings of a lovely site.

A good start
We spent a wet bank holiday weekend here and were the only caravan on the CL. It's very easy to find and the entrance is through the pub car park. The CL is not large but has the advantage of being close to the river so easy walks can be found. This is very much a 'work in progress' new CL and a welcome addition. The site at present is basic with hook up, fresh water etc but a toilet is planned in the future. The ground is slightly uneven but nothing that caused any problems. There are signs of the works going on both on the CL and pub as the owners have only been there a year. We received a warm welcome from both Tracey and Stuart. You pay in the pub which is to be recommended for it's food, drink and staff. There are plenty of local towns, villages and places of interest to visit. There are National Trust properties not to far away and also the Norfolk coast. The mainline train line is across the river so some noise from trains can be heard but we didn't find it intrusive. There is a butchers and tea rooms in the village and larger shops and supermarkets are about 4 miles away in Downham Market.
