Escape without the kids...
Had a lovely, one night stay on a very sunny September weekend. Very easy to pitch up - wide, gravel pitch with own water and electric. Our route brought us over the very narrow bridge from Eggleston, which made me breathe in, though I am sure there is more than one way to approach the site.
The whole place is nicely done. We had an enjoyable evening meal in the pub. It was tasty and the service was very good.
There are lots of lovely places to visit in the area. We were on a flying visit so we only popped out to the gardens at Eggleston Hall, which were looking very nice and are a great place to stock up on plants.
Would love to go back again but it's not easy to get babysitters for 3 children!
