Stunning views
Just got back from a rather wet weekend stay at this beautiful CL. Approach with care; turning off the A-road is sharp, and the turning into the CL itself even tighter and on rough, broken tarmac; with a twin-axle van it needs to be taken slowly and carefully. Don't miss the left fork turn; it is a turning, not 'straight on', which isn't clear in the book.
The owner came out to meet us when we arrived, despite the driving rain, and explained where everything was. We later learned she was dealing with 2 medical emergencies during the weekend (one canine, one human!) but despite that, still made available some mud-mats for us to step out onto, as our pitch quickly turned into a quagmire. The pitch itself was narrow (not enough room for an awning and a car), and sloping - bring chocks for the jockey wheel and front steadies! CL had EHU, brick-built single loo (no shower) and WiFi, too!
Despite the weather, we had a lovely weekend - just gazing out the caravan windows at the incredible views was wonderful. You feel as if you are on top of the world! West Midlands Safari Park is only a few minute's drive away and made the perfect wet-weather day out - they even had a free kennel to put the dog in!
All in all, a gem of a CL.
