It's great little site
About 4 miles uphill from Sidmouth (Sidmouth/Honiton road) and just outside Sidbury. Adjacent to a VERY quiet, single track lane and separated from it by a thick hedge which in May was full of colourful spring wild flowers including bluebells. Site is slightly slanting but, by parking on the top and the use of chocks, it was fine. Grass was adequately cut. Overlooked a rapeseed crop, rolling hills and sea is visible in the distance. We have visited twice and were lucky enough to have the field to ourselves for a few days which was brilliant (unsociable wotnots that we are!). There is no shower/wc block (which we don't mind in the least). I love the fact that each EHU has a water tap next to it so no having to fill up van from a single site tap or lugging a container around.
We have a little dog and it was wonderful to just walk down the field, over the brook and join the network of miles of footpaths once up the puffy hill opposite. Monique and her husband are friendly and accommodating, actually driving us to guide us to the site when we arrived lated so late. Be prepared to do a spot of reversing if you are unfortunate enough to meet the very occasional vehicle coming in the opposite direction. There is a small hotel along the lane, a few nice detached homes and a couple of farms. Don't know why I am writing a rave review because I don't want anyone else to discover it!!! Poor Monique will certainly be seeing us again ... please!
