A nice simple CL

This CL is in a good location with footpath adjacent to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Not many views from the caravan pitches which is a shame as the area is lovely. They rarely answer the phone (even the mobile) when you call and can take some time for them to return your call (they always do eventually) but if you want a site at short notice you may struggle.

WHAT A GEM

We take about 10 breaks a year and now in our 79th year we like to take life in the slow lane. hat could be better than a break at this delightful site we are left in anticipation of our next visit. You can stay a week without having to start the car up with walks off the site to Whitby. Robin Hoods Bay and even a Supermarket within walking distance.

tranquil coast and country

A lovely site, well managed, very friendly and helpful. Between Whitby and Robin Hood's bay, this CL is so convenient for many places of interest on the coast as well as being close to the North Yorkshire National Park and steam railway. If you go to Staithes you may even see Old Jacks Boat being filmed - we did! There is good walking directly off the campsite including the cinder path cycle track. If you don't want to drive, the bus to Whitby stops at the farm entrance. The site is easily accessible. This was our first visit and we shall certainly go again.

FANTASTIC CL

We have just returned from Swan Farm and we have to agree this is a well located CL. The track behind the site takes you one way to Whitby the other to Robin Hoods bay and beyond. Lovely Coastal walks nearby, bus at the bottom of farm lane, which will take you up and down the coast, so handy for ppl with motorhomes, It is a well kept site with maturing hedges all aound, and the grass mowed regulary. I will return to this site in the future. Pub acroos the road had good reviews from fellow campers.

Good Site

Spent 2 nights here, its a lovely clean CL and very peaceful, all facilities to hand. The owners are welcoming and friendly. The bus stop couldn't be nearer both to scarborough and whitby, we eventually got to whitby on our second attempt as the first bus was totally full & the next one very late! Plenty of walks off site as well. We will definetly return to this site.

A Good CL

We have visited many CL's and this is one of the better sites. We agree with all the other reviews and especially the walks available from the farm. We walked to Robin Hood's Bay via the coastal path and back along the old railway track and the views were wonderful. Also into Whitby along the coastal path is a delight. Finally try the eggs available from the farm which were very good.

Enjoyable stay

This is a lovely site in a great location, great for walks towards both Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Unfortunately, this being one of the wettest Summers known in this area, the CL field was very wet on our arrival (it did dry out slightly over the week) but the owners did everything to help us and we really enjoyed our stay. It will not deter us fromgoing back. There is a pub right opposite the site which serves great food with Wednesday nights Steak Night being an excellent offer.

Super

Excellent CL site, will definately be using this one on regular basis. Walking & cycling facilities literally on the doorstep from the caravan. Brilliant for visiting Whitby, very good pub at the end of the farm lane. Very warm, helpful welcome from Emma. Very easy to get to straight off the A171. Highly recommended.

Beautiful North Yorkshire site.

We have just spent a week at this lovely site. It was very peaceful and field well looked after. If not wanting to use car the bus routes into Whitby and Scarborough were literally at the end of the farm road, although there was some difficulty at times getting onto the bus as they were only single deckers and there were always a lot of people travelling. There was a pub just across the road, The Hare and Hounds where you could get a very good meal, the Sunday roast is to be recommended! Whitby was a very interesting fishing harbour with lots to see. Runswick Bay is a must to visit and if you are Hearbeat fans a trip to Goathland where it was filmed is also a must. All in all a very good week away.
