A bit of a let down

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and got familiarised with the water, loo disposal point and pitch by another couple of caravanners. Didn’t meet the site owner until we went to leave and pay 4 days later! The toilet is as described by other reviewers - an ill-fitting door with a hook lock, bring-your-own loo roll, and an old bar of soap, but the toilet was clean at least. The field itself offers distant views of the sea between the trees and if all you want to do is sit in the field and look at the views all day, then this site would be perfect. However, if, like us, you like to get out and about to discover the area, there is a long drive down windy roads to get out on to the main road at Corfe and the nearest pub is about 5 miles away at Church Knowle. I appreciate it is on a working farm, so wasn’t looking for 5 star standard, but do feel that £15 per night is a bit steep as we stayed at another site in Devon recently which only charged £10 per night (no loo or shower, but a friendly welcome and picnic benches near the pitches) PS there could be clearer signs ie caravan club C.L. sign as we nearly ended up on another farm!
