Site is in a lovely location, beautiful views across out to sea. Sadly it needs updating. There are really only 4 pitches of decent size, 1 seems to be in the driveway, it’s very rutted in places, just needs so some maintenance because it wouldn’t be much fun in the rain. There is a bench apparently “ sunset view “ but sadly all covered in green mould with old dead trees and long grass, sadly not of any use to sit and enjoy a bbq and watch sunset. The noise from the small road which runs by is constant making it not relaxing to read, seems to be a rat run to the beach or the lower coast road. The brown waste area needs just tiding with a longer piece of hose to rinse around top of concrete disposal area. The owner was nice and the little book shed useful. Village was lovely. Such a shame don’t think we will return.
Having read of it in a club magazine touring review, enjoyed our stay with Mike & Brenda on this well-located site just a ten-minute walk from a small former fishing village. (Discovering I'd once lived on the same street as Mike in Leeds in the early 80's was an amazing coincidence!) A very warm and attentive welcome from Mike and an information hut with tourist leaflets and books to borrow. Great view across to the sea and sunset. The hard standing was rather stoney and uneven, to be honest, and the site a little compact. Very good access to the site from the minor road but it did mean there was a reasonable amount of local traffic. Able to walk the dog along the track and down to the village - good food at the Admiral.
A bonus to have a good wifi signal - until somebody turned up in their campervan with a powerful router which cut across the signal - not the site's fault!
Very handy for coastal trips, excellent value at £15 per night and would recommend.
A lovely site Beautiful Views, an ideal spot for touring the area. The owner Mr Dearing was very helpful and pleasant .
Would Not hesitate to stay here again.
Lovely little site with beautiful views. Nice owners and very helpful and informative. Good site for exploring the area and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Lovely little site, only a short walk from the village. Owners very friendly and helpful. Pitches are okay, compared with other places maybe a bit small. Would come back
Lovely site and lovely owner ( we only met Mike).
Everything well explained on arrival and logically arranged close to all pitches.
Information room with leaflets and a small library
Internet was the best I have ever encountered whilst on a site.
On day of our depart a Sunday (after 4 nights) we found that our vehicle battery had died.
Mike helped us get the van started with a lithium battery device and also got a traditional charger out to see how long would be needed to charge the battery.
He also offered us an extra night if we wished.
We decided to move on to our next site (25 miles) and had the RAC out on the following day to exchange the battery which was dead after sitting overnight.
Will be on our list when we return to the area
A small cl about 1/2 mile inland from Findochty with Buckie about 3 mile west and Cullen 4 mile east. You’ve got views over the Moray Firth to the coastline going up to John O’Groats. Pitches are uneven so levelling blocks required, the owner also provides wood to help facilitate this process. Really pleasant owners and the price is only £12 per night for electric. There’s a chemical disposal point, water tap and information hut, just don’t expect manicured lawns and a perfect pitch. You do get acceptable and free wifi which adds to the good value overall. There’s an off road path and cycle route west to Buckie and a coastal path and cycle route east to Cullen but it’s rough in the early stages in this direction.
A lovely CL, well spaced pitches with views out to sea. A short walk to Findochty or a little further along coastal path to Portknockie. Very quiet & relaxing. Cracking fish & chip shop in Portknockie. Wonderful fresh fish from Eat Mair Fish in Buckie. Very friendly owner.
Found this lovely little CL, super owners, really friendly and very helpful and obliging, could not do more to assist.
Lovely little area, entrance tight but easily doable. There were building works when we were there, but did not bother us as they finished early in the day and did not start too early either.
Lovely sea views, lovely little garden type setting really........pitches swell marked out. Facilities CHEMICAL WASTE, FRESH WATER, GREY WATER WASTE and ELECTRIC HOOK UP all for a modest amount. FAAABULOUS
We loved with our DOG.
Will definitely be back, we were then three weeks ago

Just back from our second very peaceful visit to this brilliant site. Pitches are well spaced and the view is fantastic, in particular the sunsets. There is a little road noise from the small road alongside but not enough to annoy. Upon booking, we were advised that building work was ongoing across the road Mon to Fri but this did not affect us. We will most certainly be back.
For the record, the earlier negative review sounds as if they were attempting to set up on a parking space not one of the 5 numbered pitches.
