Perfect Hideaway

The site is brilliant for those wanting peace and quiet along with being back to nature. It is a basic site but has plenty of space for 5 units all with EHU, the boxes are well spaced and there are at least 8 hookups available so no problem for those arriving a bit early or wishing to leave a little later with the permission of the owner, at least you can make a brew and sort things out. Owner is lovely but you will not be hassled by them as they are always busy with bits on the farm so leave you to get yourself sorted and will pop over when they get the chance to get your pitch fees, we were there 6 nights and they only managed to get over on the last evening as they were so busy (I was starting to wonder about how to pay the fees as there is no indication as to where they actually live?) The site has wonderful views across the rolling landscape with the pitch closest the gates giving a superb view and stunning sunsets every evening through the front windows of the caravan. We will certainly be using this site again as we still have plenty of geocaching trails to do in the area, if you enjoy walking but without too many hills then this is ideal.

Well kept peaceful site

We had 2 nights here. During our stay we cycled to Grafham water on the roads and back on the bridleway just opposite the site. Also walked across footpaths into Kimbolton. Church in Kimbolton has some interesting history within it. Lovely stay would be happy to stay again.

Lovely quiet well kept site

Stayed for 2 nights on bank holiday weekend. Lovely quiet and peaceful site, gate locked with padlock (need to phone ahead for code) so nice and secure. Owner friendly and helpful- only saw her once though (they don't live on site) Site is well kept with plenty of space. Bins, water and toilet disposal all together in a little fenced off area. Lots of wildlife too- pheasants walking across the site which our dogs were very interested in! Lots of nice walks in the area, many footpaths/ bridleways very close by. We had a nice walk through the fields to Grafham Water. Kimbolton is also close by which is a pretty little town with a few shops, cafes etc Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back again

Very quiet and immaculately clean

This site is one of the best kept sites I know. Very clean and tidy with an easy to use CDP. There are quite a few walks around and a walk to the local pub and facilities in Kimbolton. The owners are very welcoming and helpful.

Rural Escape

A well maintained sloping field in beautiful rural surroundings. Easy access off a minor road through a locked gate (need to phone ahead for code); good sense of security in what is quite an isolated location. You really feel you can enjoy that lovely sense of just soaking up the peace! Fields all around with pleasant view, grass kept short when we were there, well spaced hookup points and usual facilities in purpose made area in the corner. Owners live away from the site (but farm surrounding land), so call in for payment. There is a helpful list of contact numbers if needed. Worth knowing that field slopes UP from the gate, so exit is always a downhill direction - useful if wet (although ground seems firm and is not prone to water logging). Good walking on surrounding footpaths (OS map recommended); Grafham Water nearby. Very nice spot, with caring owners.
