Great little Gem

This is our second visit and we will be definitely coming again. Had another peaceful stay, stunning views and made to feel welcome. Great fishing lake and a clean secure well kept site.

Super little site

We stayed here for three nights in August 23. We were looking for somewhere close to home for a quick break away and this couldn't have been better. Lisa was very welcoming on arrival and we had a choice of pitches, each had its own water and electricity point. The views from the site are stunning and there is easy access to the A21 for getting out and about. There's a good secure dog field on site and you can walk round further fields with dogs on a lead. The lake is pretty and seemed popular with anglers. Merriments Gardens is practically opposite and does a lovely breakfast. You can hear a bit of road noise but it really wasn't impacting. A fabulous site to which we will return no doubt.

Wonderful Stay in our Caravan

Another wonderful stay at Stone Cottage. Lisa and her family are always so welcoming. The site is always kept clean and tidy. Each pitch has its own electric and water tap. Beautiful views from site and lots of interesting place to visit nearby. We spent several days fishing and caught lots of roach. Can’t wait to go back again.

Short Stay

We selected Stone Cottage as it is located halfway between the coast and Tunbridge Wells, where we were to attend an event on the Saturday night. We arrived on 20 April for our 3 night stay and found a large, well presented site with wonderful views. While our plans took us out each day to visit Battle Abbey, Bodium Castle and Knole, we could just as happily have stayed on site enjoying the location. There is a little traffic noise from the road but, this did not detract from out stay in any way and of course gave easy access to the many places of interest to visit in the area. We found so much to do in the end, we did not have time to complete our planned circular walk around Bewl. I would highly recommend Stone Cottage and look forward to returning to complete our exploration of the area.

Lovely

Just back from a lovely 4 night stay here, and will definitely be returning. Good location for touring, lovely views, large and level pitches, each with it's own tap, secure coded entry gate, dog exercise area was a big plus for us, the pretty little pond was gorgeous and I sat down there one sunny morning watching the friendly ducks. Wonderful family run site. Paula, Lisa and their dad couldn't have been more welcoming, or helpful.

Enjoyable stay

Recently enjoyed a stay at Stone Cottage. Inquired about availability via email which was responded to quickly by Paula, all questioned answered and dates booked, query about best route to take as traveling from Kent answered and directions given were spot on..thank you. We arrived and were welcomed by Lisa who explained everything and answered our questions including places for takeaways for our evening meal, can recommend both the Indian and fish and chips in Hurst Green. Four of the 5 pitches had their own water supply, a bonus on a CL. The enclosed dog exercise field was great and our dogs enjoyed being able to run off lead. If you enjoy fishing the lake looked very nice with easy access through a gate from the site. There is plenty to see and do in the area which was easily accessible. There was a little road noise, it didn't disrupt us but wasn't unexpected given the proximity of the A21. This is a new CL run by very a friendly, helpful family, would we visit again? Yes we would.

Excellent CL.

An excellent site managed and run by a friendly and welcoming family. We arrived with our caravan on Friday 29th July for 5 nights it was so nice that we stayed until the following Saturday. Very well maintained site, just a pity that everywhere in the South East is suffering at this time with no rain, we needed to use screw pegs for awning as ground was very hard and dry, this site will be even better when the grass is green again. Spent a few hours fishing and caught lots of Roach. We had a great time and will defiantly be returning. Thanks Paula, Lisa and John.
