Peaceful country location

This site is on a busy working farm, but perfectly tucked away location down a country lane. Walkers and cyclists will be happy that it's 200 yards from the Transpennine Trail. Also easy access to the Selby canal . The market town is well worth visiting and about 3 miles away. We had a lovely peaceful Bank Holiday stay.

Very positive review

We booked this site because our daughter, who lives in selby, was having her first baby. We were very pleasantly surprised by the charm, peacefulness and friendliness of everyone. It was so nice to be close to nature and enjoy the scenery. Thank you so much to the owners of the farm for a lovely stay. Sally and Paul Bray.

And we were number 7 of 8!!!

We have visited this CL a number of times over the years and seen standards nose dive but kept going back because it was handy. Arrived today (having booked several weeks earlier) to a cool welcome. Already 5 vans on CL site. We followed number 6 onto site - they, unsuprisingly chose to pitch on the other part of the site. We were offered 1 of two pitches, the first (have you got a long cable?) was in long grass on rough ground, the second was a very unlevel narrow hardstanding under trees. We had an awning and this 'pitch' wasn't big enough. We were 'lucky' we could choose - another booking was due in later today (number 8). Although we tried hard to ring around we couldn't find availability elsewhere so it was the shortest weekend ever and headed home. Owner shrugged when we told him and wandered off!! - clearly not bothered This isn't the largest of CLs and though there are 5 numbered pegs this isn't the first time we have seen more than that but this was beyond a joke. Come on club, do something about this (letter on the way). We want to use CLs but an experience like this leaves a sour taste - maybe thats why we see so many closing.

little farm gem

First of all i would like to say how disgusted i am about other reviews of this site . Its a working dairy farm , so yes of course there are cats ! As for overcrowding the cl is quite clearly marked with 5 pitches all numbered and all hardstanding. The cl is seperated from the other part of plot by hedging .Beyond this hedge arent the owners allowed to do as they wish ?? a couple of stored vans , a couple of family friends vans , and shock horror , some farm equiptment on a FARM !!! Back to details , the cl is very quiet and tranquil amoungst trees , there are a couple of taps on the cl , and the bins are situated at the front of the farmhouse. We have used this cl since 2003 and love coming back , always welcomed warmly by the Lupton family ,and the chance to buy farm fresh eggs. I suggest that if you prefer spotless and regimented , you stay on a clubsite and not a farm

Disappointing

We were very disappointed with this site - large numbers of ferral cats and, apparently, no recycling facilities so take your rubbish home!!!!
