Lovely CL

Stumbled upon this CL quite by accident as I had left it too late to book a Club Site in time for the Bank Holiday Weekend! It was a good test for my recently acquired 22 year old caravan - to see how we coped without the usual facilities. The owner was easy to communicate with and returned my call in response to an enquiry left on his answerphone. Site was easy to find and exactly as described in the book. Two vans already on site and plenty of space and choice of "pitch" for us and any others. The site is part sloping, but there's no need for anyone to pitch on the slope as there is plenty of level space. Close to Minehead, Dunster, Porlock, Lynton & Lynmouth, West Somerset Railway and good access on to Exmoor. Pub in walking distance, petrol station close by with well stocked Budgens shop. Facilities include:- Water Tap, Elsan Disposal, Rubbish point & recycling. The owner also offered to re-charge my battery if I needed it. Would definitely return again. £6/night without awning at August Bank Holiday weekend - excellent value.

Peacefull campsite

I was impressed by the helpfulness of the owner. the plot is not completely flat, which made access in the really wet conditions, on my tag axle motorhome, a bit difficult, but smaller 3.5 tonne vehicles had no access problems. good location for minehead, troparquarium and a bit futher to watermouth castle and the dinosaur museaum, but a nice quiet plot.Paid £5 per night (august 2012). water and elsan facilities were good. I would def go back again. You can even spend the money you save in the local pub. Petrol station nearby (with spar).
