Excellent CL

We stayed for a week at this really nice CL with level, well-spaced, well maintained hardstanding pitches in the mown field. The site feels secure, located behind a padlocked gate(to which guests have the code) and is set back from the road. Although there is some road noise, it's easy to tune into the birdsong instead, or listen to the free range chickens as they explore the site around you. Grey water, rubbish and toilet emptying are set away from the field but still within easy reach, and clean and well maintained. As mentioned in a previous review, the information sheet provided by David and Clare was very useful. The location is perfect for those wanting to catch a ferry from Poole, being just a few minutes away. All in all, a very nice site.

A really nice CL

Only stayed for 3 nights as family matters dictated our earler than planned return. First time on this Cl but certainly not the last. One thing that isnt mentioned in previous reviews is the fact that the owners have produced a handy leafley on whats what & where. Other CL ownwes please note. Owners welcoming & friendly, site very well laid out with water on each pitch,in all , cant fault this CL.

Exceeded expectations

The site was welcoming and pitches were well-kept. Water and waste facilities very clean. Lots of room between pitches and easy access to local walks, attractions and the south coast. Had a great stay of six nights. We're fairly new to using CL sites and this is our favourite so far.

SO GOOD

One of the best CL's we have stayed on. As other people have reported the owner was very friendly . The pitch was level and the grass was nice and short  the water tap so close. . We would definitely stay there again.

First Class site

One of the best CL's we have stayed on. As other people have reported the owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The pitch was level and the grass was nice and short for the awning. It was a bonus to have the water tap so close. We did have a problem with the TV reception, it was a bit erratic and there was a bit of road noise, but not at night. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely

Stayed at this site for 2 nights the week after Easter as we were visiting friends in Poole. Lovely, well-kept, flat site with plenty of space and a tap for each pitch. The pitches themselves are shingle hard-standing surrounded by grass for the awnings. Well situated for visiting local areas and it's a beautiful part of the country so lots to see. We used Satnav which directed us to come in from a different direction from those given below. This meant that we had gone past the site by the time we saw the sign. I'd recommend following the site instructions rather than Satnav as you'll then see the CL sign more easily. Owners were very welcoming, both on the phone when booking and once we were on site. Would definitely recommend it and would return.

Very welcoming

We spent just over a week at St Leonards Farm CL over Easter weekend.  The booking was very straightforward and access to the site easy.  David was very welcoming and helpful, he provided us with a useful information sheet and checked that everything was okay.  The site is very spacious with hard standings for each pitch. This CL is set in great walking country.  From the site there is easy access to Beacon Hill and Upton Heath.  A short car journey and you have Wareham Forest and the Purbecks to explore. You can see details of our walks on our blog www.twodogsandanawning.co.uk We will stay here again when we return to the area next year.

Shame about the Sun?

Have just returned from 5 days at St Leonards very easy access even for my large outfit signage is a bit poor (missed the entrance had to turn around in pub car park)Owner will rectify this shortly. Good clean gravel hard standings, hook ups close to each and three water taps around site good chemical and grey water disposal points. Combination padlocked gate gives good security. Rained most nights while there but no trouble getting on/off site, fairly well sheltered from the wind, made the van shake a few times.(50-60 mph wind gusts were forecast)Quite a lot of road noise but hedging has been planted around perimeter which should help to cut down on road noise once grown. A visit to Tyneham village and a walk on Lulworth ranges is a must while staying here( open at weekends recommend view web page) . Easy to get to Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth. A good place to stay would recommend it

Nice Site, Shame About the Mud

This is a nice site with hard stand pitches and good facilities. It is well positioned for places of interest etc. Unfortunately it rained a lot while we were there and we thought we were going to become marooned! The ground became waterlogged and when the time came to leave the ground was so cut up we needed some desperate measures and a lot of brute strength to avoid getting totally bogged down. Overall a nice site but don't go there if you think it might rain!

Relaxing Farm Site

We love this site. Its got ease of access for places of interest and a friendly owner. Hardstanding for the 'van with grass to sit out on, it is peaceful but there can be vey minor road noise from the access road. This is the site we always see if there are vacancies before anywhere else.
