Lovely CL

Lovely site with well kept pitches and bin area (with recycling). There is a path from the corner of the site to St Agnes that takes about 15 mins to walk. The views from the field are brilliant with sea views. The field can be a bit breezy but that is a small price to pay for the views. Owners are extremely helpful and friendly. The field is set out with the CL pitches on one side and the other 15 pitches around the outside of the field so plenty of room for everyone and everyone is able to enjoy the views. Great access to the coastal path and beaches without needing to use a car but supermarkets and shops within a few miles. Easy access from A30 as well. We would highly recommend this CL and will definitely be returning.

Large pitches, great views

We stayed for nearly 2 weeks at the end of September 22, Great site, very peaceful and sea views that stretch from St Ives in the south round St Agnes beacon and then up towards Perranporth. St Agnes has a range of good pubs for food and drink, and the beach is dog friendly. We watched seals swimming twice, and walked along the coastal paths. The site was immaculately maintained, the grass was superb even after our dry summer. The owners were very helpful, and met us at the road, it has very good access from easy roads from the A30.

Great site, fantastic views. Is it really a CL?

The site comprises a large field with 20 pitches around the perimeter, five of which are designated for CAMC members only and therefore form the CL section, even though they are not physically separated in any way. The CAMC pitches are the first pitches as you enter the site and are nearest to the service points and, being at the higher part of the field probably afford the best views. Some of the non-CL pitches appeared to be more spacious, so I'm not sure there is any benefit to booking a CL pitch especially as all five were occupied most of the time we were there whereas the non-CL pitches were not so busy. Each pitch has its own water point on the EHU bollard, so no need to drag the aquaroll to and fro. The site is immaculately kept, the grass is beautifully trimmed, the service points and bin areas were nice and clean. It was also lovely and peaceful at the time we were there. There are fantastic views over the sea, Godrevy lighthouse, St Ives and of course St Agnes beacon. We were treated to some amazing sunsets and, on clear nights the stars were really clear. My limited knowledge of astronomy enabled me to spot The Plough and hence the Pole Star with ease. The downside of having such wonderful views is that the site is on a hill so there is no respite from the wind if it decides to blow a bit, whichever direction it's coming from. The walk into St Agnes is a comfortable distance, although the road makes you feel a bit vulnerable, but once there, there is a good butcher shop (cash only would you believe?), a good bakery, farm shop, a couple of mini supermarkets, a deli, just about every shop you could need for regular provisions, as well as a couple of pubs/hotels. Plenty of places to visit round about without clocking up too many miles, we particularly liked Godrevy and Perranporth. Truro is also worth a visit for a very comprehensive shopping centre. All in all we really enjoyed our stay, loved the peace and tranquility and would certainly use the site again next time we visit the area.

Fantastic Views

This is a great site for visiting the north coast of SW Cornwall. Large grass pitches with electric and water hookups provide fantastic views to the sea. The waste and recycling area is immaculate, as is the whole site. A new north Cornwall cycle path is being built adjacent to the site which provides a safer walking route down into St Agnes. Lucy and Martin are very friendly and helpful too. What more is there to like!

First Class CL

We’ve just returned from a two week stay at this first class CL. Really easy access off A30 with no narrow lanes to negotiate. Well maintained, spacious, peaceful site with lovely sea views. Good mobile and tv signal. Owners friendly and gave useful local tips. Great area, we enjoyed walks to Beacon and St Agnes Head. Took dogs to the beach and to St Agnes Hotel and Miners Arms for meals. Train from St Erth to St Ives for day trip. Would recommend, we hope to return.

Perfect Short Break

Really lovely CL with great views of St Agnes Beacon and further afield along the coast from its elevated position. Great welcome from Lucy and Martin who couldn't have been more helpful. Easy road access to the CL for towing without having to tackle narrow Cornish lanes. The site is immaculate with a picnic table for each large pitch. We enjoyed walks along this stretch of coastline and were at the right time of year to enjoy the bluebell woods. Highly recommended.

Fabulous!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our night away. The site was easy to find, didn’t involve narrow lanes and access was simple. The pitches are clearly labelled, grass is immaculate and Lucy reserved us 2 pitches side by side so we could be next to our friends. The picnic table is a lovely addition and it was great to have water at the pitch. The views are amazing and the dogs loved their wanders around the field. We had takeaway Chinese food delivered too! We’ll definitely be back and we’ll be recommending you too! Thank you.

A place to relax

Wow, what a site. This immaculately presented site is situated within easy distance of so many of Cornwall's best bits. The field is large and when we were there was always kept closely mowed where the pitches were and slightly longer in the middle of the field - with a nice close mowed path round the outside - ideal for dog walking. There are sufficient taps to allow plumbed in water supply to the van and it was encouraging to see individual rubbish disposal during these covid times The sea can be seen in 2 different directions and the sunsets were fabulous. St Agnes offers good pubs and basic shopping but there is so much more just a short trip away - from beaches to walking to historic sites. Lucy and Martin regularly drop in for an informal chat and really care about the clients. A lovely place and well worth a return visit

Had the most relaxing time ever without doubt the most chilled week we have ever had. Everything was perfect the site was Spotless the grass cut to perfection. Owners Lucy & Martin Thankyou for the most Relaxing week my wife has ever had the perfect break for her after 3 months on the Nhs Front line. Running the Cov-19 team. We also had an electrical problem inside the Motorholme one chat with Lucy and the Auto Electrian was there in no time and fixed our problem this is without doubt the best place to stay for a relaxing Holliday . Thankyou from Steve&Lisa
