This is a great site

Adrian took us in as waifs and strays after another site didn't work out as planned. And we are so glad we came. He told us this was probably the first CL on the island back in the day and the site does have a lovely feel. The views are absolutely stunning and on a good day you can see to Brighstone Downs. It is a quiet, lawned site, kept well mown with at least three hard standing pitches and has horses in the adjoining fields. It is quite sloped so you will need your ramps. Two water points, good rubbish and recycling facilities and the usual chemical waste point. Adrian is on hand but not at all intrusive. We survived the first lot of August gales (next door said he thought it was like sleeping in a washing machine!) and Adrian was there at about 6.30am as we tottered from our 'vans, offering help, pegs and guy ropes etc if needed. There is access to Thorness Bay through the adjacent holiday park (which is also completely unobtrusive) and we walked our dogs there daily. You can drive to the beach and there is free parking there (check the tides tho').. The park has a Nisa shop, bar, chippy and restaurant. There is also a launderette. Narrow lane for access but it really isn't a problem as there are passing places. We loved our stay - despite the 'interesting' weather and would thoroughly recommend a visit here.
