Just what a CL should be
We had the pleasure of staying for a week in September 2017 at Smugglers Rock and it exceeded our expectation. Booking was easy and the information which arrived via email was comprehensive and detailed. By following the directions given we found the site easily and were delighted with it. All pitches look out towards the sea, the site is situated on a quiet country lane and all the services are to hand. Fabulous dog walks from the site either onto the moors behind, along the cinder path to Robin Hood's Bay or along the beach...spoilt for choice! Don't forget to visit the seal colony below Ravenscar when you visit! The WiFi works extremely well and there is a good 4G phone signal and excellent TV reception. Sharon and Mike are wonderful hosts and make you feel extremely welcome! Smugglers Rock also does accommodation and so we were able to enjoy a couple of days with non-caravanning family when they came to join us but staying in the B&B. It's just a shame the CL is closed during the winter otherwise we would be back again during the quieter time on our own CL. Thanks Sharon & Mike....we will be back! Best regards Nicola (Skybarn Farm CL)

Pleasant and Tidy CL
Just what you want from a CL with friendly owners in Sharon and Mike. Well maintained, quiet setting, plenty of space and set in a picturesque setting. Excellent for relaxation with walks and cycling for the more energetic. With Scarborough and Whitby within easy reach a good base to see North Yorkshire Moors and the Coast.
Beautiful site
Owners very friendly and welcoming. The site is very clean and tidy and the field is kept like a tennis court. Beautiful views across to the sea. Plenty of walks and cycle rides to be had. Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hoods Bay are all a few minutes drive away.
Can highly recommend this beautiful site.

Beautiful site with stunning views
One of the best CLs we'very stayed on. Arrived Saturday lunch time to a well kept site. Booking easy with a warm welcome. Sea views from site. Quiet lanes to walk our dog with stunning views. Within easy distance of Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood Bay. Tea rooms in Ravenscar a must as is a visit to the seals. A trip to RSPB Bempton recommended.
Excellent CL - 5 stars
What a lovely CL this is, peace and tranquillity, the views are brilliant on a clear day, lovely and safe walks around the CL, although advisable to wear the correct footwear for moor walking. The hosts, Mr and Mrs Gregson, were very welcoming and provided us with information to make our stay pleasant. We have only been on several CL's but this is far the best. We will be returning, thats for sure...

Fantastic for walks and Peace.
This could have been my favorites site of the year. It's a great location for walking and biking and it really is peaceful. The turn into the site is a bit tricky and tight but the site itself is beautifully kept and very tidy. I cant recommend enough.

Lovely site but please do check prices
This is indeed a very nice site. Very well maintained, spacious and an ideal location. However, please do make sure when you book that you are given all the charges. When we rang to book we were told the pitch fee was £15. However, on arriving we were told that another £2 per night was required for our awning. We feel that £15 / night would have been more than sufficient for a site of this standard ie: without toilets or showers. Apart from that it is a very nice site.

Great site
Just returned from a week at this gem of a site. Well maintained and quick draining in spite of a lot of rain. Very friendly and helpful owners. Already planning our next visit.
Just lovely
This is one of the best sites we have stayed on in thirteen years of caravanning. The site is so spacious and the peace and quiet is what will make us return in the future. The coastal walks from Ravenscar are fantastic, some of the best scenery on the east coast. Whitby and Scarborough are within easy reach. A visit to Robin Hood's Bay is a must,
