And there are red kites!

We stayed here last week as a stopover enroute to Dorset. Our main reason for stopping was for us to visit the local Buscot Park. When we emailed to book we mentioned how we were thinking of cycling to the Park. We were advised to cycle through the farm yard and not walk through - indeed there is a sign in the field stating not to walk through the farm yard (which is the only access to the CL). If, like us, you are in a motorhome, then if you don't have alternate transport and want to walk/cycle - just bear this is mind. On saying that, we later decided to drive straight to Buscot Park and not use our bikes. The CL itself was tidy and FULL. In fact the owner stated how she been inundated with booking requests and had to turn some down. As the owner no longer lives on site, there is a deposit box at the entrance gate for fees - though she did actually visit the site the evening of our arrival, and we handed over the fees then. The farm is a busy working farm (probably why walking through the yard is not advised), there were tractors going backwards and forwards into the early evening and in the morning. It was lovely sitting in the sunshine for breakfast the following morning, watching a red kite circling overhead. Buscot Park was worth the visit - and there was no need to book under the current circumstances, which was a bonus. We would definitly revisit if in the area.
