Great location!
We Just spent a weekend at Sleepy Hollow and had a lovely time.
We walked over to Wirksworth for food on the Friday evening and had a very nice meal in the Hope and Anchor. The walk back through fields was interesting in the dark, but we have head torches, so it was fine. Wirksworth is a lovely little village.
On Saturday we went for a walk around Carsington Water, which wasn't as flat as I expected, but was a good walk. To get to Carsington from the site does involve walking down a fairly busy road, but you can walk on the verge the whole way, so not really an issue.
The site itself if fine. They have just made 2 of the pitches hard standing, which is useful. The site does slope much more than it appears to though, and we couldn't get perfectly level even with our chocks. The toilet is lovely and clean, although you need to remember to take a towel to dry your hands after washing them. The shower looked fine, although we didn't use it. There is an outdoor washing up sink, which we did use. This was fine but it doesn't have any sort of roof structure, so wouldn't be very good if it was raining.
All in all, we had a good stay and would definitely revisit Sleepy Hollow.
