Lovely rural retreat
Shortlands is in a delightful settling if a bit off the beaten track. The field is large, level and a choice of six pitches all with electric hook up. The water is accessed from the corner of the field and the garbage and toilet waste disposal point is just outside the entrance to the field but very handy. Other facilities were closed in accordance with club rules.
We walked down to the coast from the site through a lane to get to the sea. The first night of our stay was wet and windy but that did not diminish from the lovely setting. We visited St Davids and walked to St Davids Head one day then yesterday we cycled to Marloes at the end of St Bride’s Bay. Broadhaven beach is long with lots of sand but a bit challenging to cycle out off.
Check in was as per the welcome email and very easy.
