We booked a 2 night stay and David was extremely efficient and prompt in all communications, even contacting us in the days leading up to say that poor weather was forecast and whilst the site would be open he would happily refund/rebook if we wanted. Being stoic we decided to go anyway as previous reviews had said the site drained well. On arrival it was clear that the site was beautifully maintained and David greeted us as we arrived and ran through all the features of the site, provided a local map and was very helpful and welcoming. He runs a tight ship and we felt safe and secure especially with the gate into the site remaining locked at all times with a combination lock. Our pitch was right next to David and Susan’s enclosure for their array of ducks and geese which suited us perfectly, entertainment just outside the window and we also bought some eggs which were delicious. David and Susan were very friendly and their posse of Yorkshire Terriers quite delightful. As predicted all the rain and strong winds that heralded our arrival were no problem and the site remained perfectly useable. Lots of lovely walks from the site, beautiful views and overall the prefect location for us to enjoy a peaceful weekend retreat.
