If its peace and quiet away from it all that you are after, this is the CL for you. We had 2 nights here. We walked along to the Estuary in the hope of seeing plenty of waterfowl but alas, there was hardly a bird to be seen. It was still a nice walk though, despite the cold wind. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning to see the dairy cows in the meadow and swallows diving and skimming between them. We also had a walk around the small lake and marvelled at the amount and size of the carp! Berkeley is a few miles up the road, where there's a few shops and a Co Op and we had an excellent sandwich in the Berkeley tea rooms. We didnt see the CL owner at all so posted our fee at the farmhouse. Hope we got it right. My only criticism was the sight of a large amount of recycling stuff on the site and perhaps the grass around the chemical waste and rubbish area could be a bit tidier. Otherwise, this really is a get away from it all place to visit.
