We have stayed at Severals 3 times now, each time we have loved it. The CL area is a decent size, with 5 pitches suitably spaced apart. The scenery is stunning, and it is so peaceful. When you consider its proximity to the M11 and Stansted Airport this is an extremely quiet location. We only live about an hour away, in SW Essex, but we stay at Severals for a bit of a refresh every now and then. On the fields you will see, Hares, Deer, Red Kites, small birds in the hedges etc. The facilities are very good, each pitch has its own water supply and electric hook up. Michael is the perfect host who is very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Both the Axe and Compasses in Arkesden and the Ananta Thai at the Coach and Horses in Wicken Bonhunt are worth a visit. For days out in the area, a good start is nearby Saffron Walden, a lovely historic Essex town, and then there's Audley End, a Jacobean Stately Home, built with the intent of rivalling Hampton Court Palace, but since then has been scaled back. I'm sure we will be back for more.
